  1. @Domo Arigato there has been a bunch of discussion about this already and the consensus was that most would prefer these as three separate posts, that's why @815K1 re-did them this way. Anyway, the spine split on this makes a big difference for me, but I'm not sure how significantly that affects grades for CGC because I haven't seen many like that. But to me this is a 6.5/7.0, mostly because of that flaw.
  2. In that case I'm gonna do the thing that no one on this board should ever do and say I think that might be a 9.8.... ("He's an insufficiently_thoughtful_person," they're whispering, and they're not wrong) That said, if you submit it you probably have just as good of a chance at a 9.6 as a 9.8 and even an outside chance at a 9.4 (lower than that really would surprise me). But to me this looks like a book that could be getting the magic number so I'm going on a limb and going with it. It's so crazy it just might twerk! Please do let us know if you end up submitting when you get the grade back!!
  3. Saw you re-posted in three different threads, thanks for doing that. I'm not sure if the person that replied was serious or kidding when they suggested you consolidate it but you definitely shouldn't, the way you did it is much easier for everybody. About to weigh in now.
  4. What's the small white mark on the top left of back cover, directly across from the "S" in secrets? I'm not weighing in with some crazy grade until I've dotted all the i's and crossed all the t's!!
  5. I'd say 8.0 and maybe even 8.5 if you decided to C/P it. Based on sentimental value you could also C/P without slabbing it
  6. Nice looking comic! I'm at a 7.5. Now I'm intrigued to hear what it was advertised for!
  7. Lots of character! I'm thinking 2.5/3.0 on that one!
  8. I'd be really interested to see the grader's notes, too. Barring something that everyone missed my guess is you end up with a 7.0 or even higher after a C/P!!
  9. Delayed reaction but a tip of the hat to @Funnybooks, @Galen130, and *cough cough* @candygramformongo on that one!
  10. I know it's an older post @Slyde but I'm really miffed about this one. Did you have a C/P done on it or no??
  11. Sorry, not sure how I missed this!? Anyway, I *hope* they're not moldy...! But it's not outside the realm of possibility. Any advice on differentiating foxing from mold??
  12. Since these were already sent in and you're getting a C/P, I'm locking in at 7.0 after the C/P. Yes, I know that's the highest anyone said and yes, I'm probably wrong....but if I'm right I'll get bragging rights! (and/or if I'm wrong, I'll conveniently "forget" to reply to this thread). Also, @Joe Peck, when you said we'll find out in a "couple of months", you meant "around next Thanksgiving" right?
  13. That looks like a 4.5/5.0 to me. Thanks for sharing!!
  14. Welcome! I'd suggest posting each book as a separate PGM - I think posting all three, especially when they're the same book - is just too confusing. Or, in the words of Huey Lewis, "I'm sorry, fellas, I'm afraid you're just too darn loud."
