  1. A really solid issue with great stories and art. Esteban Maroto's first Warren work, I believe, and it's a good one!

Tough to find this one without any color breaking spine stress lines. You did very well if those are the only defects...

I didn't know there were "variants," so that's interesting.

It seems to be a manufacturing issue where the box in the upper left-hand corner, the "Does This Strange Girl..." lettering across the top of the cover painting and the 50 cent price are in orange instead of purple. Taking into account Warren's habit of using a variety of cover color, I suspect the book was meant to have the orange color. Supposedly, the all purple covers are scarcer, but I've seen plenty of both versions...

  3. A decent copy---I think VG is a good grade. Staple tears and spine stress are both incredibly common on this issue---it's like all you have to do is open the cover and those flaws will appear.

Classic Frazetta cover and good stories and art by Neal Adams and Reed Crandall (may they all rest in peace) ...

  4. A great looking copy! Please bear in mind that green color fade is common with this book, and from what I've seen it seems to be a manufacturing issue.  hm

Listed as "low distribution in some areas." Which is kind of funny, because this book always seems to be relatively common, even in high grade...

  5. First Ken Kelly cover for Warren (which reportedly had a Frazetta assist).

Unfortunately, the rest of the issue isn't too hot, but they can't all be home runs. This is more like a sacrifice fly...

    Still, a great looking copy...nice.

  6. A classic Frazetta cover and another very interesting issue. Warren seemed to enjoy trying different story formats, and this issue was no exception. Another issue that jumped out from the stands for obvious reasons.

A great looking copy with what looks like nearly perfect print register. You scored on this one!

  7. Another key issue in the run with a great Ken Kelly cover painting and Jim Warren's knack for eye-catching colors playing a role as well.

Archie Goodwin, Tom Sutton and Billy Graham add their considerable talents. Believe me when I say this book jumped out from the stands...
