  1. Thanks! I installed it myself and used a Halftone Archie Shower Curtain for the background. I'm also enjoying Riverdale! I've picked up a few collectibles from Hot Topic, including Pop's Chock'lit Shoppe Milkshake Glass.
  2. It is! I'm wearing B&V Faces Skater Dress and holding the 2-in-1 Pop Art Leather Bag from Betty and Veronica, an official Archie Comics clothing and accessories line. And the best part... the bag is the perfect size for digests!
  3. Great resource! Comics Price Guide has 56 different Spire Christian Comics, including the 19 Archie Comics mentioned above, listed in their database.
  4. I have 8 Archie Comics by Spire Christian Comics in my collection.... I'll have to start looking for the rest Archie Gets a Job #1A 1977 (no cover price) Archie's Car #1 1979 (49 cents) Archie's Clean Slate #1A 1973 (39 cents) Archie's Family Album #1 1978 (39 cents) Archie's One Way #1C 1973 (39 cents) Archie's Something Else #1 1975 (39 cents) Archie's Sonshine #1 1973 (39 cents) Archie's Sonshine #1A 1973 (49 cents)
  5. Thanks! It's still growing, as I keep finding items I've never seen before at antique stores, thrift stores, online resellers, etc. I'm definitely enjoying the hunt I'm not sure if there is a complete list available, but a few Archie Comics collectibles have been featured in Board Games of the 50's, 60's & 70's: With Prices (1994, 2000), Collectible Television Memorabilia: With Value Guide (1997), Saturday Morning TV Collectibles: '60s '70s '80s (2000), and Aurora Model Kits (2004, 2006).
  6. A. I started collecting Archie Comics about 6 months before my 11th birthday (November 6) and Christmas, so, as you can imagine, my parents bought me A LOT of comics that year, but they also bought me one of my first Archie collectibles - The Archie Doll, c. 1973, an 18-inch plush doll (Above: It's in the lower left hand corner of my photo). B. My dad was always into building and painting Aurora models, and I immediately wanted Archie's Car with Archie and Veronica, c. 1969-1971. It's a very rare model, so I' still hunting for it! C. Pogs! I'm not sure why they were ever popular, but, with that being said, I just bought a complete set of Archie Comics pogs, c. 1995 for my collection.
  7. I recently had part of my collection on display - as part of an internal "Things We Collect" exhibit - for my coworkers. It was very interesting to see the varied collections - from autographed books to frame-tray puzzles to Halloween decor to neck ties - and learn why each exhibitor began their collection(s). Unsurprisingly, many of us - including many of you - began collecting as children.
  8. Thanks! Good to hear! Yes, most of my Archie collectibles are from the 1980s, and I'm always finding something new online. My latest purchase is a Archie Pencil by Number Set, c. 1987. I'd never seen it before. I'll definitely check it out! I recently shared my first Archie original art purchase in the Archie Art: Any Fans and Collector's Here? message board.
  9. It is! I found it at my local craft store, but they only had a small scrap - less than 1/2 yard - left. And I haven't come across it again!
  10. I'm relatively new to CGC - and I need to look through the rest of this thread - but I'm a HUGE Archie fan! I started collecting Archie comics 20 years ago, when I was just 10 years old. I have nearly 2000 comics (including digests) and over 100 associated collectibles and toys in my collection. A glimpse of my collection can be found on Instagram under @archiecomicscollector. I continue to buy comics regularly, but recently my focus has been acquiring more Archie toys
  11. My parents love to collect antiques, and would often take my younger brother and I on day trips to nearby cities to visit antique stores, thrift stores, and vintage clothing stores (And, as I grew up as an Army brat, we visited a lot of antique stores). I always gravitated towards vintage toys, and, as I started collecting Archie comics, I'd notice a few Archie toys here and there and started to collect them, as well. I still visit antique stores (I love the hunt!), but I also frequently search vintage toy store websites (I've had good luck with From Abba to Zoom, What a Character!, and Whatsit Galore) and sort through countless listings on eBay and etsy. I purchased Dark Horse's Reggie statue from a local comic book shop a few years ago, but never saw the other statues in stores. I did, however, recently purchase Archie, Betty, and Veronica on eBay though. Hopefully, I'll find Jughead to complete my set I'm still actively collecting Archie collectibles, as almost every week I find something I've never seen before online. #cantstopcollecting
  12. Definitely! I've always loved Archie, but, after watching CW's Riverdale, many of my friends love Jughead instead! He's now seen as a romantic interest (and, if you haven't seen it, he's Betty's love interest) to them. Many of them have asked to borrow a few comics to learn about his background, and they are all surprised at how Jughead is depicted in vintage Archie comics. Haha.
  13. Thanks for the warm welcome, everyone! A portion of my Archie collectibles (c. 1960s - present) collection is currently on display in my office's Creative Library, as part of an exhibit titled "Things We Collect." But, as mentioned, I have a lot more and will be sharing it on Instagram and perhaps a new thread here
  14. I don't know that many Archie collectors that like The New Archies or Archie's Weird Mysteries, but I grew up watching both cartoons and recently started added the corresponding comics to my collection. Both series were short-lived though. I'd imagine many of the long-running Archie digests might not be all that popular, as there aren't as many titles available now. But, with that being said, I still read and collect all Archie-related comics
  15. My first (and only) Archie OA purchase (so far) was from Tri-State Original Art at New York Comic Con in 2017. I immediately fell in love with it, and, as I work at Hallmark, it was a perfect addition to my collection. The full 5-page story appeared in Reggie and Me #21, c. 1966. It was created by Silver Age artist Bill Vigoda.
