  1. 2.5 at best from me, combi stain and spine tear.
  2. A couple or so dings, especially to the BRFC edge 8.0/8.5
  3. Unfortunately, owing to downsizing, I can't buy too much now, but I used to have a fair collection of anthologies both PB and HB. My favourite novella from the Edwardian period is Arthur Machen's The Great God Pan. You can't fail with M.R.James, I used to own a 2nd edition of Ghost Stories of An Antiquary, hessian bound covers, and as valuable as the 1st, picked it up very cheaply in a charity shop, back when you could. Algernon Blackwood is another I used to enjoy from that period, he may have been a little later. Here's what the hessian bound editions looked like, it was a bit of a wrench to let it go. The PB's From Hell , looks great, I wouldn't mind owning that
  4. John Lee Hooker ~ Boom, Boom, Boom,,,, Those who know British Blues bands it's The Groundhogs as the backing band here.
  5. Love ~ Alone Again Or. I'm not a 100% happy with the match, but I wanted the song on here
  6. Well if it is a manufacturing fault, it appears to be the only one of it's kind for sale on ebay, so cgc wouldn't make any allowances for it, I'd say it will be in the VF bracket as a result. See what others say.
  7. Now to own this, I'd have to get rid of something. OK Luv, pack your bags!
  8. I can see it getting a wave on to 6.5.
  9. Neil Tennant, former London editor of Marvel UK
  10. Davey Crockett~ Humphrey Ocean. one time member of Kilburn and the High Roads, Ian Dury's old band, best known now as a portrait painter, (See Wings Over America Live album.)
  11. I'm at a 6.0/6.5 only with this, down to the spine wear and the moderate foxing of the back cover
  12. Talking of Karloff, the W.F. Philipps cover above led me to this cover of his. I used to be a big fan of Dickson Carr/Carter Dickson, The Dept. of Queer Complaints spawned the Colonel March series starring Boris. It's being featured on Prime Video at the moment, it's on my watch list for when I have some time.
  13. I'm going to take some time out to watch this today. Just finished watching. I enjoyed that, Cheers Maurice!
  14. I've been exploring some old Paperback covers of late, including some of the old Anthology style books, which I used to delve into occasionally in my younger days. No idea on the artist for this, but it's fun. Cover for The 6th Pan Book of Horror Stories is by W.F. Philipps
  15. Yes, you can have all 200 of these Mark McGwire cards for that one 1952 Mickey Mantle.....
