  1. My reckoning is 1.8/2.0 for that amount missing throughout the book and that may be generous. It'd be in the sellers estimate if it weren't for the cut corner. No idea about the price, sorry.
  2. I like that... We'll have to upgradr you to pro-grader!
  3. Yeah, it's pretty bold, I'm impressed with George Wilson's covers. Apparently, this is a self portrait on Twilight Zone #31.
  4. That's just you @FoggyNelson trying to get higher grades cheaper!
  5. A little more wear on the corners again cautiously 9.6. Hope you do well with them. I'll let others advise on whether they're worth slabbing.
  6. Something going on along the top edge left back cover, a cautious 9.4/9.6
  7. I think even with the wrap round 9.8, unless I've missed something.
  8. He looks like an amateur when you compare him to the bidding history of this guy. https://offer.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewBidderProfile&mode=1&item=401627479767&bidtid=738281086027&_trksid=p2471758.m4792 Not my ebay , but I've stopped bidding with the seller, because of the bidding up of this guy, and I've run into him with other sellers.

  10. @gradejunky, the answer from Kevin76 may be the answer to your query.
  11. I don't know why, but I always thought you got a model of Maxwell Smart. Can't remember seeing the car/track for sale this side of the pond! How about you @tv horror, any recollections?
  12. Strange as it seems, I like to feel the weight of a book. Photos and scans, unless they show the book at an angle, don't pick up indentations that well. I made an ebay purchase on a book that when it was in hand looked as though it had been used extensively as a writing desk. I'm happy if I get 0.5 either way on online grading, so 5.0 isn't a bad call.
  13. Me neither, but I think it is the angle the photo is taken from in this case.. Personally I like to see scans and photos taken against a dark background when the comic is predominately lighter and vice versa for darker books. Reduces shadow and highlights edges better.
  14. It was called First of the Few over here. I haven't seen it in ages, may have to catch up with it again. There's only 35 Spitfires left in the world now.
  15. Check with the seller that there's no hidden defects.
  16. Has it been re-stapled at the top? I'm at 3.0 as it stands now.
