Leave as is, it's a classic. Get acid free bag and board and enjoy...most of your friends won't know the difference in back cover(if you don't give yourself away). Not worth effort to grade...but man your lucky to have a #4 in your hands! IMO... Oh 0.5, just a guess, with back cover business.

Thanks for response! I was really just wondering how much "big chunk" sets a grade back. Comic is still a non graded keeper for me.

modern fee $18, modern press $10, shipping is $14 to presser (so $1-$2 each book) who delivers books to cgc, $32 return shipping from cgc ($3 each)
18+10+2+3=33, with a little wiggle room each way with shipping
you might want to reconsider how you do it
and not a "quick press" either (my presser is right here on the thread too)
Ok! Thank you!

I pay to press, grade, & ship a modern for about $32-$34 (depending on how many books are being shipped per lot).
...modern, quick press, bulk shipping, limited insurance...$34 right.

...your 7.5 gives me hope...for mine in processing...congrats! Oh I was 7.0, before I got down to grading pic result.

Approx $80/comic, press, grade, insurance, shipping to and from. Not worth it($50-$100 comics). CGC your valuable, rare ones!

Yes...umm maybe not, thanks for making me think. Had to sink in...just weighing out my options. Thanks.

Hey I have water stains on back cover of Detective Comics #359. Can you recommend anyone here will to take this on? Will CCS do this? With solvent bath or cleaning? ...experienced and good at it. Thanks.... Front cover and inside back page are good no stains, seems like it got set in something back in the day.

Get the right size bag and board, transfer into new bag and enjoy the view...maybe give it a quick read while it's out! Be careful.

you can write on a sticker and attache to the back the grade price etc.. I've seen this on quite a few books I am starting to use these avery office supply stickers on the back plastic to note whatever info I want on the book with a ball point pen and attach it to the back of the plastic where the flap closes the book.
Great idea!Thanks

Can't say it didn't cross my mind.

I'm assuming there is Sharpie on the backing board with some type of identifying information on it either from the OP or from the comic shop
Right!...then I thought, wonder if that will bleed through? I might just get a couple new boards and swap out. thanks for the help!

Are you talking about a conventional "backing board"?
Yes, acid free coated on side, bought this year. Thanks
-
Hey guys, wondering if fine red sharpie will bleed through board to comic book eventually?

I learned straight out of Overstreet comic guide 2018-19, read explanation in Classiscs Illustrated listing. Tricky at first then you can pick first editions no problem when your out hunting comics!

At 4pm Kateeja at CGC left email and came through like a superstar, with clear directions how to send back: mechanical error, transit damage... with shipping label! That's why I appreciate and use CGC. Thank you! Highly recommended.
