Deathmate Red is starting to heat up due to the Bloodshot movie, out of the nickle bin and into the dollar bin. With new interest in Youngblood, it's not a stretch to think a Deathmate Red movie may be launched if Bloodshot is successful?

Ok, I'm an insufficiently_thoughtful_person, thanks for clearing this up. Good job CGC with the new holders, they make your old products look like cheap fakes!!
-
Ok, you're probably right. So old holders had the top label on the outside of the slab?
-
Just got this "CGC" Saga 1 back in the mail from a seller, seems like a fake to me?
Real Gen 13 9.8 provided for reference. Problems here:
1) The case is completely different construction, wrong thickness, feels super flimsy.
2) Top label is on the OUTSIDE of the case!
3) Front label has no watermark.
4) Hologram is completely different and has no texture.
5) "9.8" is faded compared to real slab and wrong size.
What's the verdict?

It's not clear that CGR could die even if he wanted to, maybe SS whacked him so hard he ended up at the other side of the universe, or in a different timeline? I bet he shows up in "our" Marvel universe sometime soon. Or maybe the new series will cover "CGR + Glactus vs Thanos", or "Thanos + CGR kill everyone in the universe". Thanos Annual will probably clear some things up, pick it up next Wednesday.
As for OP's comics, get them graded if you want, but never sell, they will be worth millions.

I have a sealed Gen 13 slipcase which has a bunch of variant covers, one of which is signed by Jim Lee. Since the product is factory sealed, if I send the sealed box to CGC, can they open it and give me an SS case for the signed comic?

Also, would it be fair to guess that most shops ordered more of the lenticular than the regular? Along with the regular cover actually having Cosmic Ghost Rider on it, and the lenticular for that one is pretty dern ugly. Even the trading card variant is going for considerably more than the lenticular.
44,311 copies of Thanos 13 1st print shipped from Diamond, followed by 25,578 copies of Thanos 14. I'd bet there are 20,000 copies or so of the lenticular cover out there. Marvel played a bunch of games with the ordering on those lenticular covers, eg. you had to order a bunch of the regular cover to qualify, then you could order as many lenticulars as you wanted. Now see how that worked out, the regular cover is gold and the lenticular is selling for cover price. Marvel won't be able to pull that scam again.. for a few years anyway, until people forget. But be sure to pick up "Thanos Annual #1" in a few weeks, and pay no attention to that old "Thanos Annual #1" published back in 2014.

Have you seen the cover! Its down right fugly! Also its the B cover, which generally gets little love, unless its stellar art which it most certainly isnt.
Yeah, the lenti cover is terrible, but the regular cover is lame also. Half of the drawing is taken up by... a chair.
Now to make a fortune buying up all the lenti cover 13s, trashing the cover, and selling them as "coverless 13A".

Why is Thanos 13 regular cover popping off but the lenticular cover still selling for cover price?

Thanks "Finhead" and "Ride the Tiger", I have gone through some forum archives and answered some of my questions.
Do you know of a good reference for what kind of defects quick pressing can and cannot repair? Any kind of pictorial guide or youtube video maybe?
-
Suppose I have a nice looking book 1-25 years old, no obvious flaws, if I send it off to be graded as-is it may get 9.4, 9.6 or 9.8.
If I have the book quick pressed first, is there a greater chance it will grade 9.8? Or is it a waste of time / money? Anyone have experience / data?

All of the copies in the bin at my local comic store were gone overnight, so take that for what it's worth. I did read the comic a while ago, I recall the story was decent, but ended abruptly. Maybe a Deathmate sequel is in the works, I dunno. Or maybe someone just blew $15 for a bunch of worthless comics.
