    Huh?

WTF? Since when did Wolverine: The Origin #1 come out with a variant issue? Has anyone even seen this? Or did CGC screw up and put an extra issue in the set? To see old comments for this Journal entry, click here. New comments can be added below.
  2. Never thought I would own a 10 But I just won Wolverine The Origin #'s 1,2,and 3 all graded 10.0!!!! Holy cow!!!! The #2 is the only one in existence!!! Can't wait to get them in the mail!!!! To see old comments for this Journal entry, click here. New comments can be added below.
  3. I got a knock on the door and it has arrived!!! I don't necessarily agree with the grade, but it is what it is. Enjoy To see old comments for this Journal entry, click here. New comments can be added below.

    Wow

That was FAST So I checked the status of my Amazing Fantasy 15 and let me tell you, they don't mess around with the Walkthrough service. The comic was received today and has already been graded. I will post the grade as soon as I can. And yes, it got a Universal grade. To see old comments for this Journal entry, click here. New comments can be added below.
  5. I have a question about the different tiers and maybe somebody can help. So I made the most expensive purchase the other day. I bought an Amazing Fantasy #15 in what the seller says is around a 4.5. Anyways, I was going through the tiers for grading and the highest one I could find was the Premium. My only issue is that the max value is 3 grand for each comic. Is there another route I need to take? To see old comments for this Journal entry, click here. New comments can be added below.
  6. I checked the status of my order and it says graded When I clicked on the invoice the grade for my White Variant Ultimate Spider-Man #1 it says .0 Has this happened to anyone else had this happen before? I'm so confused To see old comments for this Journal entry, click here. New comments can be added below.
  7. Hope everyone's Thanksgiving was good. Mine was AWESOME!!! We had dinner at a family members house and introduced my 2 month old daughter Kennli to those who haven't met her yet. Then we went to the Texas/TCU football game at DK Royal Memorial. It was awesome. Anyways I sent in a copy of Ultimate Spider-Man #1 with the white cover. I picked it up at my local shop a few weeks ago and immediately sent it in. I'm really hoping to get a 9.9 and when I compared the comic to my Wolverine The Origin #3 9.9, they were identical in every way. Now I know I probably missed something but I can always hope for the best. What are some common defects with that issue if anyone knows? And if it does somehow get the 9.9 what do y'all think it could be worth? Thanks for reading and HOOK EM HORNS!!! To see old comments for this Journal entry, click here. 8. I upgraded one of my X-Men comics I have X-Men 3 graded at 3.5 for sale on Ebay if anyone is interested. Here is the link http://www.ebay.com/itm/X-Men-3-CGC-3-5-1st-Blob-Key-issue-/221105749590?pt=US_Comic_Books&hash=item337aedfe56 Hopefully someone on here will like it enough to buy it To see old comments for this Journal entry, click here. 9. Being in the Marine Corps I move around a lot. Everywhere I go I find a local shop and pick up what I can. What is the best comic shop in the country? My favorite so far is All About Books and Comic in Phoenix, AZ. I'm interested in hearing about other stores around the country. To see old comments for this Journal entry, click here. 10. I set a goal of having X-Men 1-16 in whatever shape I could afford. Then it kind of evolved into having everything in a 7.0 or higher. I had almost achieved that until today. Only ones missing were #8 and 9. I had been looking around earlier this week and found a few auctions that caught my eye. X-Men 8 and 9 both graded at 8.0 so I put my bids in 190 for #8 and 225 for #9. And I won both of them. Then I had my eye on an X-Men #3 graded at an 8.5 and I won that one with a bid of 820. All in one day!!!! This is gonna hurt my wallet but oh well. I have successfully completed my original and partially my later goal. So I think I will call it quits for the rest of the year. Next year I will probably work on the Amazing Spider-Man run. Everyone have a good night To see old comments for this Journal entry, click here. New comments can be added below.
  11. My goal is to have X-Men 1-16 at a 7.0 or higher. Is anyone willing to trade for X-Men #1 7.0 or higher? I would include my own X-Men #1 3.0 and whatever else we could agree on. I have a lot of raw comics. Some in really good shape and some in not so great. Plus my graded X-Men's that are below 7.0. If you might be interested shoot me an email at joseph.sheldrup@yahoo.com.
  12. I have a few books I want to send in but I'm not sure which ones I want graded. For the Standard tier I have ASM #5 in pretty bad shape. I'll be lucky to get a 2.0 X-Men #9 and 10. Both are ok reader copies, I'm guessing around a 3.0-4.5. X-Men #94, 104, and 109. 94 is mid grade, but 104 and 109 are damn near perfect, and I got them for a great price. For the modern tier I have Uncanny X-Men 266, and 268. Both high grade copies. ASM vol 2 #36 Wolverine #1 from 1988. I'm torn. I want a complete collection of X-Men 1-16 at a 7.0 or higher, but that can get really expensive. And I also want a complete run of ASM 1-16 graded at 3.5 or higher. I don't know if I'm setting myself up for failure of my goals or trying to justify what I already spent money on. Has anyone ever gone through this?

    FML

Now that I have my submission back I wanted to send in more of my X-Men collection, until.... I started to inspect the comics to see if they would be worth sending in. X-Men #6- Not worth it. I would be lucky to get a 1.0 X-Men #8- Thought it would be ok until I found out a page is missing. Awesome X-Men #9- Probably the only decent one. It will probably get a 4.5-5.0 X-Men #10- Not so great. Won't get more than a 2.0 X-Men #12- Ok book. Thought it would get at least a 3.0 until a tiny piece of paper caught my eye near a staple. The damn centerfold was missing. Great, that just ruined my day.
  14. I have a few I want to get signed by Stan Lee. How does this work? Do I send my comics in to CGC and they have Stan sign them then they grade them? Or do I have to go to a convention where he will be, have him sign them under CGC supervision, then they submit them? And how much does this cost? I got my first Signature series the other day and I want more.
  15. Got my grades for my coupon. Amazing Spider-Man #2 3.5 X-Men #2 3.0 X-Men #3 3.5 X-Men #4 2.0 I will say things went a lot faster from my last submission. But I used the modern tier last time. Anyways, it looks like I over grade my comics, cuz I thought they were all gonna be higher. Oh well
