  1. I wouldn't say that they recycled the ideas so much as all three of those stories are different. Batman had a rainbow cover or two as well (paging Steelcity). They were just devices to make the covers stand out. When it comes to rainbow covers featuring Batman, this one can't be bettered:
  2. Very nice copy, FFB. Adventure Comics covers featured some nice backgrounds of downtown Smallville!
  3. Interestingly gentle cover, from a bygone age.
  4. Adventure Comics #242 is one of my very favorite covers from this title. Something exciting often happens when the Kents are in the garden. Martha relaxing at her needlework, Jonathan gently working the ground, Clark hanging about - often worryingly conspicuous in his Superboy costume. The scene is set! This cover was re-worked for Adventure Comics #260.
  5. Very unusual dark green tones on Adventure Comics #235. Not surprising that this issue rarely turns up above a fine.
  6. This cover is just embarrassing. Pa's really lost it and poor Martha is considering a trial separation...
  7. Lois Lane #1 is just one of those hopeless books all DC collectors yearn for!
  8. Nice varying purple/magenta tones on this fairly scarce cover:
  9. Something rather touching about this cover.
  10. That's the nicest copy of this book that I have ever seen. Is it from a pedigree collection? Ken No, it's not a pedigree copy. I bought it from Metropolis years ago. It was the nicest they had seen at the time.
  11. This issue is always worth a second glance!
  12. Superboy #69 is really hard to find above fine. I wish this one could be just a little nicer.
  13. My copy: This is a really nice copy, Silver. For me, Superboy #89 is just full of DC magic and embodies everything I love about comic books.
  14. Almost at issue #100... #99 is a really weird cover... but entertaining!
  15. World's Finest #92 has a really dynamic look. Silver mentioned that #91 seems to turn up occasionally - yet only one issue later and this book is hardly seen at all. Superman finally gets a side-kick, at least for a short while...
