    Awesome, I appreciate your reply. I mainly just like to be sure I get what I pay for, more than the resale value, but appreciate your input on the subject. Should I be concerned with the rusted staple? I live in a fairly humid environment, though I keep the books stored in an air conditioned room.

    Hello, I'm not the best at detecting stuff and it's a pretty low grade book I recently purchased so I'm ok with it looking rough. However, it was advertised as no restoration or anything and I'd like to be sure it is not trimmed. The top side of the book makes a triangle when I close it and look down the pages, but the bottom is solidly flat all the way across when I do the same thing. It may have to do with the terrible staple job, but I'm not entirely sure. I'm sure it's nothing, but I'm all about the peace of mind haha. Also a little miffed about the bottom staple rust that wasn't mentioned. Should I be concerned that the staples are so different in quality? I appreciate your knowledge and if I need more specific pictures, please let me know!
