I was thinking the same thing the other day! Just like you I was shopping for older GA books in the 90's about 50-60 years old at that time. I was buying up all the Flash I could find if I could afford it. (So much harder to put together a collection in those days you really had to get out on the road and look.) Now those books for the most part out of reach today. But I am really enjoying buying 50-60 year old SA. And occasionally, once in a great while I come across a GA book that I can afford and add it to the collection.

This one I found affordable and bought last week but look at the condition! Maybe a 1.8? Still I love it and I am so glad to have at least one Frazetta cover!

Just missed out on this one! Maybe one of you got it? Nice looking copy maybe a 5-6.0? What's the going rate for these Frazetta covers? Most copies for this run I'm counting on spending about 10-20$ per issue. But these Frazetta's seem to be going for a lot more and are posing as my biggest challenge to completing the run.

I also got my very own REAL Vampi #3 this week! They are battered and bruised. Let just say they have a lot of character. They will fit right in with my 3rd rate 'reader collection'.

Well Vampi fans, I'm new to this thread and I've enjoyed reading through some of the pages! Today I'm officially announcing my intent to complete the Warren Magazine run. I have been picking up issues here and there for the last few years. It was my intention all along to go after Vampi once I finished Flash. So the time has come! I have an 8 issue start with one on the way so I will share some as they come in. I am looking forward to hanging out here with you all and may need your advice from time to time. I really loved the Frazetta Cat Girl discussion a few pages back. I have a lot to learn but I know I'm in the right place. Here's one I picked up last week:

This is a great little comic! And it is Barry so it fits. Ironically when this TV show aired Flash had been dead in the comics for 5 years. Kinda made me think, hey why did you kill him off in the first place!!?? There were several fun references to our Silver Age heroes in the TV show. My favorite is that they named the fancy hotel in Central City 'The Hotel Infantino'. This reference appeared in 2 episodes I believe.

That's an awesome title! So many of these, I had no idea they existed, so glad we are sharing and getting them out there!

I think it has a shot at 5.0-5.5? But I am kind of rusty since all the grading contests shut down. (Darn I miss those!) I would have to give it some kind of a bump though, just because it has a submarine on the cover!
