  1. I haven't used photobucket since it became randsome ware many years ago. Have they changed back to free hosting?
  2. Our Sunday Visitor Press, a few miles down the road from me, is still in the Catholic publications business. Founded in 1912.
  3. Tabcom will be unlocking his foot locker in his bedroom on December 3rd. First two guest will receive a closet prize.
  4. Not an easy question to answer when the cocaine like effects of dopamine is released with each 'Fair Warning' signal flashed upon the bidder screen.
  5. I think I just got us expelled from the club.

  7. As I was moving my collection to a new, more secure location, Mrs. tabcom unloaded on me that it is a burden for her and the kids to have to inherit my comics and sell them off. I'm 55 years old and in excellent health. I see myself as a spindly Stan Lee type in the distant future. So the clock is ticking . . . slowly. A bigger issue for me is, 'have I hit peak comics?'. Over the past 13 years I've grown an envious collection of first love pre-robin Detective Comics run, long Flash Comics run, hoarders load of Superman #14, a beautiful estate sale collection of romance and horror, my fair share of Captain America, and Schomberg Covers. And a FF#1 for good measure. I love reading my GA comics. I just lost the thrill of being a big time buyer at the on-line auction circuit. I'll track a few each auction, but lose the motivation to snipe in the end. Anyone else experiencing peak comics?
  8. Peak comics is the theorized point in time when the maximum rate of extraction of comics from the market is reached, after which it is expected to enter terminal decline. Peak comic theory is based on the observed rise, peak, fall, and depletion of aggregate demand rate in collecting comics over time.
  9. I just reread my copy yesterday. Great from cover to cover.
  10. I don't fear restoration nor pieces missing. I do fear the grade being BLUE 4.5 at worst; 5.0 at best.
  11. Neither Will send to comiclink auctions at some point in the distant future. Purchased book nearly 3 years ago. Price has appreciated 2.5x since then.
  12. A. True (at the time of purchase) B. True With respect to the OP, I don't believe many collectors beyond this forum know PGX notorious history as well. Hence, I'm satisfied in leaving the Ff#1 'as is' in my collection. When the day comes to sell, I believe the 5.5 pgx will sell for more then the 4.5 cgc grade it deserves. Furthermore, IMHO, I don't think the buyer would even contemplate my previous sentence in making their purchasing decision.
  13. As entertaining as this discussion is, must get back to work.
  14. Trying to get a read on how much a discount PGX graded comics are compared to CGC.
