I dont have a problem either and my bids were automatically bid up by 1000 increments very early into the auction. Also the seller messaged me about my bids on his auction shortly after I bid which Ive never had happen since ive been on ebay since 2003. This gave me a weird feeling and I did not want any part of what I deemed to be a shady auction. The other account bidding against me apparently won the auction and did not pay...smells like shill bidding to me.

Trying to win?? thats cute. Youre reading into this way too much. There was no attempt to game the auction. I have nothing to gain at gaming the auction. It didnt seem realisting that someone was bidding it up in 1k increments so i withdrew my bids plain and simple. The book didnt sell when the auction closed. So maybe your shill bidder was the one who won and now youre claiming hes gaming it too. I guess well never know the truth. As for name calling i said youre nuts because you asked me to pay for your medical bills because you had a stroke. Im guessing your blood pressure runs pretty high if your panties get in a bunch over someone retracting bids from your shady auction.

I meant to say 1000 increments and I think youre overreacting. I have a good reputation as a buyer and a seller. It seems like you have a history of getting into it with other board members and youre a drama queen.

This is the exchange with the seller on ebay....if im wrong im wrong but i smelled something fishy with the auction and apparently the other seller who has a good reputation on ebay smelled the same thing with this seller.

Beware of this seller kmgiamei who shill bids his auctions. I suspected shill bidding and retracted my bid with nearly 7 days remaining on a 10 day auction. I have a 100% feedback rating and have never had a problem. Ive sold many items on ebay and have had people retract bids, win auctions and not pay, click buy it now and ask to cancel. It comes with selling on ebay and never thought of it as a big deal and theres a block button to make sure it doesnt happen again. I would never think to make a post about something this trivial unless I was scammed in some way. Sorry the person who won the auction asked to cancel but youre making a big deal out of a one off.

I picked up a deal on a first print last week so you can still find deals. Id try to get a nice raw second print at one of the auctions over something with cream pages. Even if you have to pay a little bit more it could be worth it.

A 9.4 2nd print White Pages sold for 2200 at ebay auction less than a month ago. Think about that and then think if you need to have it right now.

And yes I will be selling it for 15k

Pop culture sensation doesnt mean the people buying neca figures right now are going to fork over 40-50k for a 9.6 TMNT 1. There's a very small pool of buyers at that level and for 40-50k theyre going to look at other books that have been proven over time. Id rather have a Fantastic Four 5 9.2 for 50k over a TMNT 1 9.6. TMNT 1 deserves a premium right now because its a hot book but this appears to be market manipulation hence the 79k fake sale on gpa. I spoke to someone else last night that has 6 copies ranging from 8.0 to 9.4. These are not strong hands holding these books except maybe the few people defending the book on here right now lol.

Im not only talking about 9.8's...there are almost 300 from 9.0 to 9.8 on the census. Who knows how many ungraded copies are out there. What other high dollar comic has that population in high grade? And these prices have spiked in the last few months. These is a perfect storm going on right now and its ideal if youre selling but dont expect it to last.

I think most people (with the exception of Erol) understand economics and why you cant compare TMNT 1 to Superman 1!

Overstreet price guide came out in 1970...that was when people realized that comics could have value. Comic book collecting wasnt really a thing which is why comparing TMNT to Superman, AC or even AF 15 is asinine. At any moment a ton of high grade copies of TMNT 1 could flood the market and you'd see the price drop instantly. It's kind of amazing how the supply is so limited at the moment and no one is listing mid grade copies. The 6.5 sale for 12k might bring out a few sellers.
