  6. Yes, the Gen. Rommel flag and his size are hilarious. I didn't know that yellow covers are so popular. Yellow covers are faves for a lot of people! (thumbs u here's my fave yellow subby. That is one prudy book, Mr. BP
  7. I'd love to know the meaning of the Japanese word on the torture device. Ask a linguist: "> Marc, does the Japanese (?) -script on this cover mean anything? No, it's as 'realistic' as the green guys on the cover. But I do like being asked! I've almost never seen realistic uses of Asian scripts in comics except in recent years. (Disclosure: I was a consultant on IRON MAN: HYPERVELOCITY which has more foreign languages in it than any other American comic I can think of.) Maybe I've seen one or two Silver Age comics in which the artist tried very hard to copy some random Asian text on hand, but I can't remember what those were." Jack your friend wouldn't be so quick to dismiss the realism of the green men if he had the chance to see us guys at ponscon a couple hours after mg.a.tor has Mexican.
  8. And I'm not surprised that Steve scored at SDCC! All the Little Giants are tough, so it's always a rush to find one. Now I just need to get a card at the library where Bunky and you are checking out these great Centaurs! (thumbs u
  9. Brian, my 3-year-old really likes this one. (thumbs u Your 3-year has great taste, much like the Bunky. (thumbs u Agreed, book has a innocent charm to it, much like a 3 year old,

  11. This one is noteworthy as there isn't a title banner, just the title. Only a few others in the run didn't have solid banners and none of them took advantage of that space to the same degree. It really makes for a much more pleasing cover. Shame that other publishers didn't follow suit (like EC). Quite an advanced point you make (thumbs u
  12. BTW, Everett daughter (can't remember her name),was at the con, promoting a book on her life with her dad, stopped in our booth by accident, took a picture of herself with AMF 1 in hand. Very nice lady, with much appreciation towards the hobby in general. Still has about 70 or so pages of her dad's original art. B
