  2. The Batman TV series absolutely put Bats to a whole new level with respect to an audience of critical mass in the 1960s. From my own personal experience in the mid/late 1970's there was nothing more I looked forward to than those episodes. The cliff hangers were off the charts. Combine that with the Saturday morning Super Friends cartoon and in my own little world, DC was it. On the marvel side of the fence in that same time earlier period though, I did read Spider-man, Hulk, and Thor.
  3. This Chase one is normally 1%. Capital One is I believe 1.5% and there are some Citi cards with 2%. If you or anyone knows of anything better please inform. Thanks.
  4. Last week I used a 10% eBay bucks promo and happened to pay via PayPal through my Chase card. Turns out I got 5% cash back. There is a promo running right now through June 30th. Tonight there is a 6% eBay bucks promo going on. So if you have a Chase card, stacking that would give you 11% off. Just an FYI for anyone on the fence to make a purchase. Sure we get another 10% eBay bucks before June 30th or better off a 15% off promo code that will circulate here in CG. Cheers.

  6. That is a good point. The sign says up to 50% but I can not really seem to find anything yet. Everything non-lego is 30%. American Girls dolls in the front end were the only toy line at 40% off. I am specifically looking at getting the Millennium Falcon drone (Air Hogs super size version) and that full size remote R2 unit.
  7. Anyone scoping out Toys R Us as they get closer to full on liquidation mode for stores still open? There are some pretty expensive items still on the shelves such as Star Wars, legos etc. that are getting more attractive by the day. Discounts will vary in your area, currently right now 30-50% off. Cheers.
  8. There is no wrong choice here but my only caveat to you would be this. Make sure the grading is tight. When you say ASM 238 in "about" VF/NM condition for $80, I would say that you can purchase a slabbed VF for that amount of $. Cheers and best wishes on your decision.
  9. Regretfully a few years back when I was moving, I sold a pallet of Magazine TLs. Today I pulled out some boxes of raws mounted on 775M2/750FB combos and remembered these will not fit in the Golden TL's. I tend to be more conservative preferring more board space and would rather not try to squeeze BA comics on 700FBs. With that said can anyone please post pic(s) of a 9" Magazine TL mounted with a 775M2 bag from front view and side?? Thinking the amount of slack being just over an inch should not be a big deal at all presentation wise. Lastly I can get a 7MM Mag TL at a cost of 9 cents more than the 5MM version so if anyone has experience/thoughts on that, please share.
  10. There would definitely be enough room in terms of the sides as you would have a half inch of total extra space. However the gauge/thickness capacity of the R sleeve could be at its limits in that scenario given you would have the a FB board already mounted in an M2. Those Rs are more rigid as well so it would be a very snug fit if you could even do it. I know someone who has done similar configurations with smaller size bags and HB board combos.
