I decided to half-migrate as I've returned to collecting comics after a looooong hiatus.

 

Still got my old collection, was a big fan of Venom (#1 came out when I was in elementary school), Gambit, the X-Men, and all of Marvel... to the extent I even collected the trading cards. Now I come back and (no surprise) find everything bonkers... alternative universes, new characters like Silk, Secret Wars redux? I wonder how I can possibly catch up.

 

I guess a good start would be to soak up as much as possible. : ) Pleasure meeting you all !!

Thanks for the heads up Roy. I have the copy of replica that is a free comicbook in a superman figurine. there is a big difference in how they look. i hope no one does this to a batman 1.

as long as there is a collector willing to pay then the price will be met. the price to me seems too high but i've said that to a lot of books that sold (including the 9.9 new mutant 98 selling for $12500)

That looks like a stellar copy. It would not surprise me if you had it regraded that it would come back with a higher grade now as I think they were pretty tough of Stan Lee signature series books when they were still using the old labels.

it's Stan's X-men 1 although i think it could get a higher grade
