  1. I think the scammers get found out eventually.  But, this company might be looking the other way based on their partners and will eventually give way to a more thorough vetting process.  What bothers me is the passive compliance to make a few bucks.  A pressed book (heat and pressure) is considered the same as a non-pressed book because their business partners are the ones doing the pressing, but there’s nothing on the label to let you know the difference.  The recent scandals have exposed a lot of weaknesses/greed/laziness.  We’ll see how they respond.

  2. I was just checking prices for X-Men #12 on eBay and saw “THE” Pacific Coast Pedigree 9.8, at least according to the pictures, sold for $2,175.50 by a seller named “mibie78” who has no reviews.  I’ve never reported anyone that I wasn’t directly involved with, but I hate to let it go.  Best way to handle this?

  3. Green Lantern.  Good Golly was that a bad movie!  (When I did eventually see it at home.)  Can you imagine how good that would have been if that was done like Guardians of the Galaxy.  Hope it gets a reboot at some point.  Agree with most of your picks.  Daredevil, just something about it looked off.  (I wish I could erase my memories of going to see the Tim Burton, Joel Schumacher Batman movies in the theater.  Luckily, I never saw the Jim Carrey one.  Then I would need serious therapy.)

  4. Just received an email from MySlabs.com.  It sounds like a good alternative to eBay, Heritage, etc. with a 1% seller's fee.  I thought it might be a good topic for the chats.  The only issue I see so far is that the website needs a little work.  Prices are shown closer to the book below, rather than the book above, which is the actual book being referenced.  (This topic might need to be moved to a different category.)

  5. My all-time favorite, “The Hobbit” animated TV movie from 1977.  Just incredible. They rushed out a sequel, “The Return of the King”, which was basically the whole “Lord of the Rings” story boiled down.  It’s not as good as “The Hobbit” but has it’s moments. There is another “Lord of the Rings” version from Ralph Bakshi that uses rotoscoping. I found it a little dreary and strange, but worth a look.  It’s often sold with the first two I mentioned but is completely different.

  6. First post.  Wondering if there is any news about the Rogue Trooper movie.  I'm a fan of several 2000 A.D. properties (Judge Dredd, Rogue Trooper, Strontium Dog, A.B.C. Warriors.)  As far as investments go, can this follow a similar path as the MCU?  Interesting characters and storylines. Not a fan of Disney or the next big Marvel property, the Eternals (but I love Kirby.)  Would love to hear from British fans as well.
