Just read the new Walking Dead. It ROCKED! Can't wait to see what's next!
I LOVED this issue. LOVED it. Don't F with Rick Grimes...
-
So what would the benefits of the Walking Dead #1 club be?
Not as great as the benefits of the Chew #1 OA club...
In about 1 year no-one will care about Chew #1.
-
So how cool would a Chew/WD crossover be!?
Not very. Any story that would cross these two universes would be forced and just lame.

can I join both? Mine don't have the fancy yellow label but I like them.
No, because it's the Chew #1 OA (original art) Club. Your slab is nice, though! (thumbs u

I wonder what color the title will be on the 4th printing of Chew #1...when does it come out?
-
Just got back from SDCC, Chew was popular at Image. The writer and artist were there signing. They let me check out the preview (some color photocopies pages) of issue #3 and #4. They said they had 100 copies of Chew #2 on the table and they were almost gone, but for cover price and signed by both that's not hard to believe. They also had a SDCC exclusive with only 100 copies printed called The Art of Chew that were also almost sold out and this is only the first day at around 4pm. I'll post a pic. soon and will post one for sale that's signed by both is the FS forum.

Nice post, and I agree with you totally. What I am talking about was more or less his story telling style. Kirkman doesn't allow us to get in anyone's head...it's more event driven than emotion driven.
So why the hell does Dale appear to be mobile in #65?
Because that's not Dale...

I picked up extra copies of Chew 2 if anyone needs them. Also, I'm still looking for a Chew 1 9.8 possibility, if anyone would like to trade/sell please pm me. What do you guys think will become of W.D. 63 now that it has Chew flip in it? I'm already getting extra copies, as I bought the cover art to to it
It has the greatest looking cover, if you guys havent' seen it yet. Just curious your thoughts.
Whoa.. you bought the Cover for Chew 1?
I think he means Walking Dead 63...

I heard a third print will not happen, the WD flip-book will take it's place. I don't know if that is true, but it is what I heard from the guy working in the LCS.

From Image.com:
THE WALKING DEAD FLIPS THE SOLD OUT CHEW #1 THIS JULY!
The fan-favorite undead meets the sold out cannibalistic clairvoyants in THE WALKING DEAD #63/CHEW #1 Flipbook!
CHEW’s sell-out sensations, writer John Layman and illustrator Rob Guillory, are teaming up with Image Comics veteran Robert Kirkman to bring their sold out first issue to the masses in a very special black and white full issue flipbook in the upcoming WALKING DEAD #63 at no additional charge!
"As a creator, there's nothing more satisfying than hearing that a lot of people are interested in reading your book. The flip side of this is there's nothing more frustrating than hearing how people can't get a hold of your book to read," Layman said. "So, Image and Robert Kirkman concocted this great plan to put CHEW in a lot of people hands-- and for the unbeatable low, low price of 'free'."
CHEW's star, Detective Tony Chu, is a cop with a secret. As a Cibopath, Detective Chu gets a psychic impression from whatever he eats. While it means he's a hell of a Detective if he can stomach the evidence, once his secret gets out the government makes plans for him, whether he likes it or not. CHEW blends horror, mystery and the strangest ability of them all in an ongoing series of horrific crimes solved in the most horrific way possible.
Layman added, "If you're remotely interested in seeing for yourself what all the CHEW buzz is about, this is your chance. Of course, the black & white preview does not do justice to Rob Guillory's magnificent colors in the regular book, so if you like what you read in THE WALKING DEAD, you'll have opportunity to buy third and second printings of issues #1 and #2 when #3 hits the stores on August 5th!"
WALKING DEAD #63 (MAY090359), a 48-page black and white comic book for $2.99 featuring the entireity of CHEW #1 at no additional charge, will be in-stores July 17th, 2009.

What's the chance for strong aftermarket sales on Chew #1 second print??? IOW, should I go out and buy a few on Wednesday and expect to make a profit by re-selling them?
-slym
There were significantly less printed than the 1st print #1, so if I had a chance, I'd grab a few.

On August 5, the first 3 issues of CHEW will be in stores. This is a PERFECT opportunity for new readers to jump on, and for others to catch up. So again, on that date, we'll be releasing:
CHEW #1 Third Printing
CHEW #2 Second Printing
CHEW #3 First Printing
Just found this online.

I stopped by the LCS and asked to put 2 copies aside, owner didn't seem to really want to do it but put it on the list and made a point to say it won't be as valuable at #1 (naturally) as many more stores ordered more copies of #2. I told him that #2 is already sold out before it hit the stores, which he wasn't aware of.
Yeah #2 isn't going to have a ton of more issues printed. My LCS only got three issues total. (I snagged 2) (thumbs u My guy said they couldn't up their order, so these may be pretty limited as well.
They didn't get any 2nd prints of #1, though...anyone hook me up?
-
So does #2 still live up to the hype?
I'll let you know after I pick it up in an hour and a half
Got it. Read it.
It's...NINJARIFFIC!!!

Sweet, thanks for posting that Neil!!!
EDIT: Link didn't work
