I think what happened (key word: think) is that the remaining amount was offered in Previews. Leach signed them all and they were offered as such. Obviously the majority of the variant must have been offered through Previews. My guess is somewhere in the 300+ issues offered range, as it appears plentiful with the signature, and hey...why 2 colors unless one was running dry..huh huh...which could mean a ton of books signed... I paid more than I wanted to for the unsigned version...$18, but less than cover for the signed copies I have. Go Figure. Either way, I can live with it... I think between the 3 of us (now 4 of us shedoskj...welcome!) we are gobbling everything up, but I still stray from MH Website for copies...don't want to give them any thoughts that this book is HOT HOT HOT!!

Green and black are the only ones that I have or have seen... as far as one's without signatures, these are very tough to get...I have one and can't find anymore!

That Black Johnny might be the absolute worse BWS art I have ever witnessed...maybe he worked with his left arm that day...yikes...

I have been in contact with Dez, he still has issues and I am debating on buying and having them shipped from the UK, esp when I hear the prices that you can still buy them for. Ewan, PM me if you can get any copies for me...

I have bought 3 of them in the last 2 weeks on ebay It does have original MM content and a great Leach MM cover and KM back cover. I bought one from Mile High Signed NM by Leach for $4.50 last week (happy happy joy joy). It seems you can find signed copies by Leach much easier than the unsigned versions.

Very cool Ewan! I have been picking up some copies at a really really really low price of the MM Variant of the sketchbook. I also came across an auction a couple of weeks ago when I was searching Ebay for MM stuff. It was listed as everything under the sun, Miracleman McFarlane Bowen Gaiman etc. I looked and to my suprise, both MM statues for $65 with free shipping! I only wanted the Bowen, so am going to move the McFarlane at a reasonable price (plus I used my 10% off coupon, dumbing down the price even more). MM Bowen statue is now proudly displayed in 'the comic room'!

Thanks for the heads up on the A1 Sketchbook! In your auction you said they were limited to 500...any other info you can add about the book? Do all 500 have MM on the front and KMM on the back? How far under the radar is this book? Quick Story... A few years ago, one of the guys that I worked with at 'the comic shop' traded me a high grade run of MM 1-17 for my old Playstation (the original one)...just pulled them out to look at them again. Don't know if I can ever grade them, love them to much
