One of my five 5/12 received slow modern submissions just went to G/E/I. I hate to say this, but these days I'm dreading getting books back due to A.) CGC's tough grading on about 1/3 of my submissions, and B.) the slow selling market, which creates a lot more inventory.

Is modern slow track getting caught up or is your submission fast track?

I have a submission waiting for Modern Slow Track service but it has fallen off the tracker and has been in received status since March-ish; Your submission is in the “Received” status. Line item detail is not yet available.  If the TAT's for modern slow track shows 83 days, does that mean they are most still working on orders from mid-March?

  2. Modern Slow Track CCS+CGC received 7/12/21, fell off the 8 month tracker 3/12/22, charged by CCS on 3/18/22, then went back to 'Received' status (I am assuming at CGC, but I'm not 100% sure).

Not having our orders on the submission tracker is the worst.  Current turn around time for this tier is 83 days. (83 days ago is approx. April 8th) I'm hoping for movement to SFG any day now.

How long have people been waiting between Received and SFG these days?  It looks like Greggy is a full two months ahead of me.

  3. I emailed customer service regarding membership credit from last year due to the current TATs and I was told my order is still being pressed by CCS even though I was charged back on March 17th.  Also, when I search for this order in the submission tracking it says 'Your submission is in the “Received” status. Line item detail is not yet available.'

If my order had actually been received by CGC before I renewed my membership just a week ago the submission would have still qualified for last years membership credit, but because my books are not even at CGC yet, I will be loosing my credit from an entire year of having a membership.  Why offer a credit for an order if it takes longer than a year to process said order, therefore not qualifying for the credit?

Here I thought my books were done at CCS and were already at CGC, but this is not true.  Not having accurate information on the Submission Tracking page is most frustrating.  For everyone waiting on orders older then 8 months, there is no guarantee your books are actually where they say they are.

  4. My Modern Slow Track is still in received status from March of 2022.  The order was originally received by CGC on July 12, 2021 and then charged by CCS on March 18th, 2022.  It fell off the submission tracker before officially being received back at CGC and I am still waiting for that coveted SFG status.

I see people's orders from April are getting processed, perhaps my books will get updated soon?

You will not lose your $150 credit as long as you submitted books during the period your membership was in effect.  I asked CGC the same question, and they indicated it is based on the submission date, not when your membership expires.  So, you might not get books back for another 6 months or longer, but as long as the packing slip was created during your membership period -- and you haven't used the $150 credit yet -- they will apply it to grading fees (but not re-holder, CCS, or shipping fees).

You can also check your packing slips for the price you will pay for the submissions (not what the current rates are).  That is available under the Submission Tracking page - "View my packing slips" link.

    Thanks for the info!!!

  6. Who else is going to lose their premium or elite $150 credit?  It just kind of sucks... cause I tried to use it.  I sent my order in at the same time I renewed my membership thinking, surely this order will be processed within a full calendar year.  What will happen if I don't renew?  If my membership expires before my order is processed, will they still honor it, or will I need to re-up again just to get the one order of books back?

Should I overnight some fast tracks just to use my credit?  Can I fast track a reholder?

Is it showing up in tracking now? Also did CGC charge you yet?

It did not show back up in tracking after being sent to CGC from CCS and I have not been charged by CGC yet.  I get the following message when I use the submission tracking search, "Your submission is in the “Received” status. Line item detail is not yet available."

  8. Modern, Slow Track, CCS and CGC: Shipped end of May 2021, received at CGC in June 2021, received at CCS in July 2021, changed to CCS in process and credit card charged in March 2022, then it fell off the submissions page but is in Received status at CGC.  One more month and my books have been gone for a entire year.

  9. I just joined the 8+ months club.  My submission is no longer showing up and needs to be searched for.  You'd think if the tats are this long someone would just extend that 8 month window.  Will this submission pop back up when transferred to CGC or is off the list for good?

  10. Anyone know how backed up CCS is with processing orders, meaning, anyone have any recent movement from orders at CCS?  I have one from 7/12/21 still in 'Received at CCS' status.  TAT's show CCS = 229, CGC = 130.  Does that mean I am waiting 359 working days until I see my books again?

  11. TAT for CCS was recently pushed up to 200 days.  That seems like an awfully long time.  200 working days is approximately 280 calendar days (9 months), not counting holidays, convention days, and signings.  I will consider third party pressing after this... or should I just start learning to press for myself?

Anyone else have any recent movement on CCS orders?  I wonder what received dates they are working on now.

  12. 12 Modern:

Received for CCS pressing on 6/24

    CCS payment email on 8/19

CGC scheduled for grading on 9/11

    CGC payment email on 9/18

Patiently waiting.  Currently at 39 days, not including today.  The current TAT's list 40 days... but, is that 40 days from SFG, or is it 40 days from the date we receive our payment acknowledgment?

  13. Looks like you got the better end of the turn around times.  I am still waiting for my 12 Modern (slow track) that were SFG on 9/11/2020...  It has only been 28 working days, and the TAT for Modern is currently at 32 days, so still within the normal time... SO CLOSE!!!

From my experience, credit card payments are usually applied halfway or 2/3 of the way through the pressing process. There are times when the turnaround time is 60 business days, but then I get my hopes up because my credit card was charged 35-40 days into the process. Unfortunately, it doesn't mean your books are about to be pressed.

Thanks!  I will try my best not to let the anticipation get to me.  I've always been happy with the outcome, so I need to learn to be more patient and let them do their thing.

The box showed up Saturday.  18 modern pressing, modern grading, non fast track books from 6/20 are now back home.

*Edit* Also... I have 1 Signature Series Modern pressing, modern grading, received 7/2/19...  still in Received status.

The signature series from 7/2 made it through CCS (modern, non-fast track) and is now received at CGC 10/15/19 for modern, non-fast track grading.
