I find this NEWS very upsetting. I make the drive the CGC a few times a year to drop off and pick up books. Most times its between 200 to 300 books.
I find that 300 books would costs OVER 780 dollars to ship back to me.. Thats at over 65 dollars ground shipping per 25 books to me. The drive costs less then 50 dollars round trip. To me that is a HUGE savings.
NOT COOL CGC.

I just dont see how telling me 33% of my buy it now price is good. LOL 50 for 150 book.
Maybe I need to just learn to not respond back. I will work on that.

Today I had ebay user
Send me an offer of 50 dollars for a 150 dollar book. I told me please don't low ball me as it starts us off on the wrong foot. He then messages back about a starting point to negotiate and my passive aggressive comment.
I only SELL buy it now. Whats to negotiate?
BLOCKED by me. has a few negs too I see from others. SURE he is a winner.

Bought Avengers 19 CGC 9.4 - had the book almost 2 weeks and he sends a refund request. Changed his mind. (weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!)

Bought Spider-Man Special Edition - Trial of Venom. I get a refund request - Changed his mind. Then comments to say the book is only worth 50 dollars etc etc. (Shipped book back in a bubble wrap mailer).
I was shocked. Somehow the book arrived back safe.

Bought Yesteryear Infinity Variant - I get a refund request again. Changed their mind and something to the effect they just didn't want it. (They at least PAID shipping back)

Right now CGC is kicking butt! 25 Business days. So lets say 6 weeks from the date received. There is no FRONT of the line jumping that I know about. Only way to make it less is fast track then it saves you about 2 weeks.
On another note.
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW I just looked at CCS and it shows 70 Business days. CGC did say they had a record amount of books dropped off at the New York Comic Con.

I dropped my books off at CGC directly at their office and they are pretty much verified almost instantly it seems to me when I check it online that day. (after my 3 hour plus drive home)
I think it may JUMP you just mailing it in 6/26... as they still have not processed you in.
PS- ERIN at CGC is the best! FRIENDLY, Helpful! and doesnt mind when I drop off hundreds of books!
I have worked with Spencer many times (Great also) but now he went to another department he told me the other day.

THE RESULTS are final
MODERN SLOW - Books dropped off at CGC on 6/30 Verified that same day. 100 books total all modern.
8/4 3 sets of 25 books each are Scheduled For Grading now.
8/7 - 3 set that were on Scheduled for grading now show GRADED.
8/10 3 sets are SHIPPED safe. 1 set should be shipped safe tomorrow.
I thought it was pretty quick overall for this set. If I count correctly I count 29 business days total.
if you just count ALL days I think its 41 days total. Counting all weekends,etc.
Time for a trip to CGC soon!

2 PROBLEMS with Ebay Feedback I had
It's been a strange week on Ebay for me. This week it started with a buyer leaving feedback on my account that he ment for another seller.
I tried to fix it with the buyer (He admitted the error) and after a good argument/chat with Ebay they removed it. Ebay removed it only because he admitted it was for another seller. (I believe it was an honest mistake)
Then I had a Buyer buy Civil War #1 CGC 9.8 around 2pm. (Paid in full). An hour later I get an email from the buyer saying he was hacked! He did not buy this! etc..etc..etc. I quickly issue a refund and figure the sale
is over. NOPE The buyer takes the time to write a neutral against me. In the feedback he says something about BEING hacked but I gave a refund. (OH JOY!) Just what I need. Back on the phone to Ebay!
After a brief argument (They don't want to remove feedback or change it) I argue that the BUYER said he was hacked and never bought the book. He was given a full refund quickly due to his hack claim. I argue that he can't leave feedback for a book he says he did not buy. (Put on hold for a few min's) Ebay says OK we will remove it.
It's been a weird week on Ebay!

There is a line that goes down the MIDDLE area thru Sub Mariner and all the way down. TOP to bottom in middle right area of book.
I think it is the inner well../ Can it be the comic? I dont see how it would grade a 9.4 then. but I figured I would ask here. I just emailed CGC a pic
but figured I might try here too.

About 2 weeks ago I sold a book and during shipping it received a FREE
Cracked case from the USPS. YEP Free! They are so gentle. Anyways I
bomb proof my books but it didnt help at all. I gave a full refund and 20 dollars to return the
book. (It came back last week). The book was sold for about 130 so I did a claim for 80 dollars
to cover my shipping costs back and forth and to ship to CGC to be re slabbed . I got to
say when I opened the mail yesterday I had a check for $80.00. WOW I thought it would
be MONTHS. Several Phone calls to argue. Nope. Nothing.
It was fast and easy to file a claim online (I sent a PDF of sale and 2 pics of case damage)
Gotta hand it to them on a fast refund.

CGC not allowing local pickup of orders

I pick them up within 1 week or 2 weeks 99% of the time. Its funny how 300 books can be given at the same time. Some finish on mOnday...some on wednesday...and some the next monday. I come soon after. They do not sit there weeks on end.
I will say the 1 delay they have is on their side. They would always say they are at comic convention and I can't come that day. least you forget they are closed weekends and all holidays (Which they do deserve)
anyways I just won't submit for the time being.
