Uh, I've been here 2.5 years. But I guess to some degree I'm still a n00b.
And many of us have been for a lot longer and have seen first hand the changes to the overall selling approach on the boards. There are many "old timer" sellers who no longer sell here and also don't buy here much anymore, as October said. Recent years have seen an influx of folks who are here only here to sell and not interact with the community and/or are only here to try to get maximum dollars. That irks those of us who have been here when the feeling of community was a bit stronger than it is these days. This isn't ebay. This isn't Facebook or Instagram. Sadly, it's becoming more and more like that every day and in reality has been trending that way for a few years now.
Another uncomfortable reality is that oftentimes selling on ebay will bring a much better return than here. That's kind of an elephant in the room but I've seen people make that comment many times over the years.
By the way, I'm still a noob to folks who signed up before me. It's kinda like a board meme. Don't take it personally.
