Given those assumptions, I suggest you fly to America and go to a comic convention that CGC is attending, bring your comics, and hand them off to CGC in person at the CGC booth (maybe even the last day of the convention so you don't have to wait as long to get your books back).  Of course it costs a bit of money to go to the convention, but it sounds like you've got enough money and like comics to enjoy a convention.  Now of course CGC doesn't attend as many conventions as they did pre-pandemic (my guess is they will gradually increase attendance), but they will be at Comic Con (San Diego - way closer than Florida to Australia) and C2E2 (Chicago) this year, and probably more, check the calendar yourself.  Make a vacation out of it, have some fun.  Good luck.

 

Note:  If you choose this route do a bit of research about what (if anything) to do at customs on the way in (or back).

The other option would be to fly to Sarasota and send them from the post office they have the PO box...

I thought my fellow AF15 owners would get a kick out of this clip on Pawn Stars (apologies if this is a repost).  If the grade given is correct, my 5.5 just went to a 7.5!! starts at 5:46:

Graded 5.0, even with the C/P.  A bit harsh it seems...

4.5 FunnyBooks nailed it. Even with the C/P it was 4.5...

I really want to get my copy slabbed (best guess 5.5) but i am terrified of mailing it. It's insured with CIS but every time I start getting it ready, I fail.  I also have a ASM#1 i want slabbed.  Any advice from my fellow club members?? 

I sent an ASM #10 to CGC a while back. They declined to C&P it, then got it back with a dissapointing 4.5.  I forgot about the smudges on the back.  Otherwise seems solid, deserving of a better grade.  Would a C&P help this?

Maybe it's the perspective, but is it trimmed?  seems to taper at the bottom a bit... Nice book though!

I bought this in my nieve days from a 'Terry C Lutz' on ebay who listed it as unrestored (shame on you Terry!).  Besides the tape, there is color touch on the edges.  Worth getting slabbed? Should i have the tape removed?  Not even sure what i would insure it for...

Some weird stamp issue on the front?  on the back a folder corner but doesn't break color so i assume it can be pressed out???

Who knew science could be so fun??? a bit missing on the bottom left, and a bit of fading near the spine. although the spine is pretty good othewise.

What's with the green ink on the edge? Drunken printing press operator?  Will it detract from the grade???
