I don't have one yet, but the error was totally mine. It was an Umbrella Academy FCBD book, and the back cover image ever so slightly wrapped over the spine to the front of the book. When it did that, the back cover was much whiter than the front and looked like major spine wear. Glad I decided to grade it anyway!

I'm the greatest grader ever!!! Orrr..... I kinda got luck on the second book. I "thought" I saw a flaw that looked like it would be a 9.4, but I was afraid it might just be scanner dust or a case scratch. If it was, the book looked like a 9.8 So I cut my losses and guessed a 9.6 so I'd only be 1 grade off whether it was a 9.4 or 9.8

I sold George some Deadpool books and he paid right away and made for an easy transaction. Glad to hear you're happy with the books!

When you say 3 points for 1 grade off, what constitutes "1 grade"? Is that 1 grade point, for instance a guess of 7.5 would cover 6.5-8.5 or does it mean 1 grading increment- like a guess of 8.5 would cover 8.0-9.0 or a guess of 9.4 would cover 9.2-9.6. Thanks! Also for the prizes we donate, what sort of value should they be expected to be? Looks like a lot of fun but totally new to this -
It's been a while since I've submitted anything so I just wanted to confirm whether this is still the case. If I'm submitting a group of modern books, do the Signature Series Moderns have to be submitted separately from the Unsigned Moderns, or can I submit them all on one form? Similarly, can Modern Tier Signature Series books be submitted with Value Tier Signature Series books on one form or will those need separate forms as well. Thanks!

Ok, don't hold back on this one. I know it's a bottom of the barrel book but I guess my major question is whether or not the bite taken out of the interior page will cause this to get a "Qualified" grade and a green label. I'm hoping the book is actually in such bad shape it won't matter, but it does remove a bit of picture and dialogue so I'm afraid it's enough to call the book Incomplete. Thanks!

Is this too much spine damage for an 8.0?
Magickyak replied to Magickyak's topic in Hey buddy, can you spare a grade?
Thanks! Appreciate the feedback- I didn't notice just how bad the fading was until I compared it to another book so I can see that now and that would explain the price I got it for. If I could pull a 6.0 out of it I'd still call it a good buy. I'm glad I asked so my expectations would be realistic for when I send it out. -
I emailed "the other guys" and they rejected it too. You'd think it wouldn't be this hard to offer people $30 to stick a book in plastic. I'm sure all these grading companies have at least 1 pervert on staff who would be happy to grade this book.

Bingo! Thanks a lot, appreciate it!

I was wondering if you guys could help me with a book I'm trying to remember- I'm pretty sure it was a war book- The cover has a bunch of American children fenced into a pen and Japanese soldiers are dumping poisonous snakes into it. It may have even been an issue of Exciting but I honestly have completely forgotten. Figured this was the best place to ask due to the war theme of the cover. Thanks!
