A funny thing happened on the way to the Registry. . .
While I've been collecting comics for about 30 years, I just recently discovered the Registry. I am fascinated by some of the larger collections, especially the likes of Captain Tripps, etc. Having spent some time and money looking for 9.6 or better copies of comics, I still can't imagine the time and trouble some of these larger collectors have invested in their "hobby".
Anyway, my fascination with the New Teen Titans began when I picked up a DC Presents 26 off the stand and read the story. I had first been introduced to the Teen Titans a few years earlier with the likes of the Bumblebee and Guardian, so I decided to read them. Having spent the previous 2 or 3 years totalling engrossed in Byrne's X-Men, perhaps I didn't appreciate what Wolfman, Perez and company were doing with an otherwise dying set of characters. But I was hooked.
Now, years later, having completed by non-CGC X-men collection of 1-340, I am trying to put together a CGC set of 9.6 or better New Teen Titans.
To all of you bitten by the bug, Long Live Comic Book Collecting!
