Hi, this copy of Watchmen 1 has some ink misprints on the front and back. A circle of black ink has been spread to not black ink areas. How do those affect the grade? Also, this copy has in the right lighting signs of where the bag flap and tape had been (third to the last photo). Thanks for your input.

I am open to suggestions on the lighting. My work space is in a basement and I have two floor lamps and an LED work lamp. I usually use the LED from an angle so I don't get the glare from the floor lamps.

I have had this same question. I sent in a Swamp Thing 21 that I thought was in relatively good shape and it came back with 5.5 saying there was a crease down the center of the cover.

Yes, there are some creases there, but I don't think they break color. They could look better I think with a press.

Yes, there is a crease on the T, but I don't think it breaks color. I don't think there is any spine roll.

This is a pretty clean copy of Watchmen 1, except for some small indentations on the cover, which I have found actually on multiple copies yet in varying places (last photo in particular). I would appreciate your grade estimate as is and with a press. I would assume these might come out in a press, but am not sure. Thanks.

I apologize for the glare as I can't figure out the best lighting situation as I work in a basement.

I forgot to add that the last two photos are supposed to show an area where the black is faded on the back cover

Hi, here is another Watchmen 1, with some minor color breaks on the back cover. The last photo is a small color break where the cover bent when someone opened it. The tenth photo is a little color spot (the little white circle). I would like your opinion on this one as I have a few more in a similar condition. Thanks for your advice.

I have three more Watchmen that I am having trouble guessing the grade as they have color loss on the back covers perhaps from the printing process. Here is a Watchmen 5. Imagine my surprise when I turned this thing over and saw the white streak across the back cover. It is not a scratch, but just a long line of missing ink. I see little else wrong with it. Like many copies of Watchmen that I see it has the remains of someone's finger prints on the cover. Thank you for your advice.

I have three more Watchmen that I am having trouble guessing the grade as they have color loss on the back covers perhaps from the printing process. Here is a Watchmen 4. Notice the pattern on the back cover, like the ink didn't get distributed evenly. Also, a little red is missing. Thank you for your advice.

I have three more Watchmen that I am having trouble guessing the grade as they have color loss on the back covers perhaps from the printing process. Here is the first, Watchmen 2. There is some color loss at the top of the back cover and around the staples. The second photo is supposed to show the lift in the corner of the book. It doesn't lie flat. Thank you for your advice.

Newton Rings

I am used to getting a few Newton Rings on comics that are double-sized, but I had a batch of 15 come back to me that all had Rings. Here is a sample with X-Men 169 as the most noticeable. I am tempted to send them back to fix, but I don't want to be charged. Thoughts?
