  1. HOLY BLEEP! When contacted (I'm assuming you've called/e-mailed) did they give a reason as to why?
  2. All fair points and again, I hope I'm criminally wrong. Blips was maybe an incorrect word because there'll be a good amount of new footage. Perhaps what I meant was that the new footage, while plentiful, will be periodic and short throughout. Not saying I'm right and not trolling, nor am I being a naysayer for laughs. Fingers crossed this is a grand slam because what's good for the goose is good for the gander.
  3. I'm a pessimist through and through. The actual cut won't live up to the hype, IMO.
  4. Don't care the recourse, have had enough: the Snyder cut isn't going to redeem this movie. Being a wet blanket but my 'gut' tells me the excitement and anticipation will eventually become disappointment and anger. In my heart of hearts the Snyder cut will produce only blips of new footage and be a colossal failure. I WANT to be wrong however I think the build-up for this will be a major let-down.
  5. Will never not love that faux wave coming off the 'Q'.
  6. Totally agree. Moreover, COVID certainly has changed the entire world irrevocably so no doubt there are protocols in place at CGC just the same; stands to reason they were affected too. There's a difficult balance me thinks. Like you said, making hundreds of new hires to get ahead, then ultimately fire/let go that same number because the supply drops. Their system is great and they know it.
  7. Agree with all of this, make the process well-oiled opposed to herkie jerky.
  8. Alright guys and gals, start updating those resumes...https://recruitingbypaycor.com/career/CareerHome.action?clientId=8a7882525c3d7d8e015c6b03a47c11dc
  9. Problem with new hires is that graders aren't a dime a dozen (not suggesting you don't know that, just thinking out loud). I'd guess that every Joe Q Collector thinks they can professionally grade books, cards, etc. but fact is, 99.9% sure they can't and while they may know their stuff, training is still necessary. Personally, I think they need to open another 'hub' in a different state - West Coast or Midwest perhaps - to assist with the influx of being bogged down by thousands upon thousands of submissions a month.
  10. Agreed. 10 years ago? There would be a 2 month waiting list for the signature. Now? Sorry to say, but I don't understand why people lose their soup over a Miller signing.
  11. It would be one thing if CGC came out and bluntly said, "Look because of all these signings, TAT's are going to increases by X amount". But to sit on their proverbial grading hands and say nothing kind of sucks. I'm fairly certain a majority of non-signature submitters would be upset but also appreciate CGC being upfront. All anyone wants is transparency and CGC should know that or at minimum acknowledge the back-log.
