Here's one I got back the other day from CGC. I bought it raw from Roy a little while back. It was the first raw book I've bought in many, many years. I bought it as a 9.0/9.2 so it worked out pretty well.
Nice book. Congratulations on getting the grade you hoped for.

That is so cool!
I love those WWII covers.

Haven't seen you around much for a while, Rhonda. Good to see you.
Sweet book.
Hi Garry. Thanks.
Yes, I definitely stopped buying books for a while and it's hard to resist buying while frequenting the boards.

g-man is a great seller to deal with. He shipped right away and packed very well.
Thank you!

Another new book for me.

I haven't bought any books in a long while, but decided to place a bid on this one at C'Link. It just arrived yesterday.
My undercopy!
and your copy must be a 9.8 white. That 9.6 is nice copy too.
It is and I'd post a scan if I had one handy.
Cheetah, your books are amazing. Bravo!!!!!!!!!!
Not my book anymore. It's cycle-girl's.
Thank you!
It's a beautiful book. It's still here on my desk where I can look at it. I haven't yet tucked it in between the 46 and 48.

I've gotten a bunch new Xmen lately
Very nice pick-ups!
The color on that Steranko cover on the 51 is just breath-taking! I love it!

As I think many know I have been working on collecting all the 1961-1965 Marvel Super Hero Comics in CGC 8.0 or better with offwhite or better pages. I have rounded each title to a full number so a few titles run into 1966 (i.e. Tales of Suspense 74 and 75). I am 86 comics away from having all 366 and today I completed my first title - X-men with the purchase of issue 4.
Here are my copies of all the X-men through 1965
Beautiful set of books!

Here's mine. I've had it for 4 years now.

A second copy.
If only that book could talk! It looks like it's been through a lot.
In any case, congratulations on the pick-up. A #1 is always a treasure!

It's been quite awhile since I have purchased any books.
I just picked up these two books tonight thanks to Alex (pennynike1).
More silver age books to come, just a little bit slower than my bronze books.
Very nice books!

Hi Everyone,
I've finally completed my 1-66 CGC run with this #4. I also posted this in Comics General. Sorry for the spamming.

Hi Everyone,
This week, I completed my X-men 1-66 CGC Silver Age run with the addition of this X-men #4 in 8.5
This is a pretty big deal for me. I haven't figured out what an appropriate celebration should be. I could have a party and invite the Hulk (issue #66, you know) but my furniture would never be the same. Exploding a star (ala Phoenix) is definitely out. That didn't work out for Jean Grey. So I'm thinking of something just slightly more low key....

Very nice, Rhonda!!
Thanks, Casey

I won this #39 and #62 on Ebay a couple of weeks ago. Unfortunately, the #39 will eventually need a new holder. I have another book with a cracked holder somewhere in my collection. Since shipping costs more than the reholder fee, I'll probably wait until I have 3-4 books to do before I get it done.
Anyway, these are both upgrades for me. The seller of the #39 says that he owned the book since he bought it off the newstand.

Super nice book. (thumbs u
Do they do the scene where they are running through the woods and the girl trips.
That always drives me crazy.
Thanks, WRT the book.
Tripping in the woods! Of course!!

Nice to see everyone is still going along merrily
I have one more book on the way too. I've been looking for an upgrade for my 8.0 of issue #30 for a long time. I picked this one up at C'Link.
Classic storyline in this one. Super powerful villain wants to rule the world - kidnaps Jean - wants Jean to be his queen - the rest of the X-Men must rescue Jean from the evil villain. I suppose the writers couldn't resist. When you have a female on the team, she comes with her own ransom note.

I just won this on C'Link tonight.
Great book, Rhonda. Glad to see your still collecting.
Thanks, Casey.
Yes, this is my first major new book in a long time.

Congrats Cycle Girl! What a beauty!
