I got ripped on my Silver Surfer.  7.0 for a light breaking line on the back vs. this front color breaking  bend on the top right.  Great looking book!  It goes to show that overall looks determines more than a standard matrix of flaws in each book.  This has to be the most discretionary of disciplines.  Lol  :banana: It very nice, looks like a 8.5 but so did mine.

  2. Bottom left corner cover and inside front near spine may have color touch.  Black dots look suspect.  Wavy edge of the back cover may have some moisture damage or trimming.  It's hard to tell by these pics. Black covers are notorious.  High resolution pictures please.

Hey you guys are great!  Thank for the help.  I'm always weary of staple rust and will usually pass on the book.  But on gold books I've taken the plunge recently.  Guess it's not as much of a deal breaker than I had thought.  I see spots on bronze age books quite often around Socal and have to think twice.  Probably a beach book. :jaws:
