  2. Here are a few things I have been trying to track down, one of my favorite Eduardo Barreto covers from his run on the New Teen Titans Marvel Graphic Novel "Sword of the Swashbucklers" Cover by jackson Guice There were 7 unpublished covers for X-Factor #1, I own three still looking for the other 4. I only know what one of the 4 looks like. Here it is. By Jackson Guice and Bob Layton
  3. I was a big fan of New Teen Titans in the 80s and from Perez to Barreto and Garcia-Lopez and Romeo Tanghal who inked these guys. I was able to setup a commission with Romeo for my iPod theme. Here is the scan he sent of the finished commission. Thrilled with the results. Enjoy.
  4. That is why I buy all the material have the frame shop cut everything, frame, matte and glass and frame it myself.
  5. Those two are fantastic! I love Eduardo's art. Congrats!
  6. First in my new theme, Green Apple Corps. A slight twist combining my iPod theme with the classic Green Lantern and this one features Katma Tui. Mike Mckone has been doing some really nice watercolor commissions and her is another fantastic piece.
  7. Just received my latest iPod commission from Bill Morrison of his new character Lady Robotika. Which he created with Jane Wiedlin, and she looks like Jane.
  8. Just received my latest commission from Tom Grummett who worked on the New Titans back in the 90s. He did a nice Starfire for my iPod theme. 9. I am an avid collector of comic art. When I started out 24 years ago I was very focused, started out concentrating on one character I read growing up. As time went on I was able to get a good amount of what I was after for the character and started expanding and adding comics I read growing up from silver age to 80's and some early 90s. Most of my collection is driven by nostolgia either a particular comic book issue/story or art by a specific artist. I loved Spy vs Spy growing up drawn by Antonio Prohas. I love collecting his art, no specific gag I am looking for just ones that are funny. Though I am not intersted in any of the artists who came after him as he is THE Spy vs Spy art. I have in the last 8 years started to collect art that I never read like golden age or just because I like the art. I started in the last year collecting Rock and Rokk related art of such groups as Black Crowes, Pink Floyd and Rolling Stones. Its amazing the amount of art out there, I get surprised by what I find every year.
  10. Most know I am a big fan of John Buscema and his first run on the Avengers was my early exposure to his work. I always love the Masters of Evil story in Avengers #54-55. Last week 4 pages from the issue appeared on ebay and I was able to pick one up featuring the Wasp. I am thrilled to own a page from the story. Inked my George Tuska. A bonus is the Comics Code approval stamp on the back is Feb 27th 1968, day I was born. Avengers #54 page 15
  11. Just framed the biggest piece in my collection (59"x43" including frame) I took a pic with the other two framed rock art on the same wall. For scale the Rolling Stones image is 11x14.
  12. I have the same reactions to a number of pieces I own, I find myself with a big grin on my face when I look at them. Can't believe I own them.
  13. Grail is such and ugly word (in my best Inspector Kemp voice). There is no one piece that if I got would end my comic art collecting (the addiction is just too strong). If you are talking about a piece that had a special significance to me it would be a few, a page from Silver Surfer #1, one of the pages where he is transformed by Galactus. (I did get John to recreate it for me but is isnt the same). Another would be Daredevil #47 "Brother, Take My Hand" any number of pages from that story. (only ever seen the cover) A favorite of mine growing up. Last Uncanny X-Men #153 "Kitty's Fairy Tale", another favorite story. I did get the DPS which shows all the characters and the opening swashbuckling scene. I could say I achieved a "grail" but then again I am never comfortable with that word. Lets just say the DPS, I have wanted for years, and never thought I would own. Now that I do its one of the gems of my collection. And no, I won't take stupid money (or any other kind of money for it).
  14. My first choice for the removable framing I posted in another thread.
  15. Back in June I won an original Doug Sneyd in a charity auction for Seattle Children's Hospital and was published in "Monsters & Dames Charity Art Auction " book. He has been drawing cartoons in Playboy for 45 years. I just framed it and it looks great haning in my living room.
  16. One of my favorite pieces of the year, Starfire Commission by Eduardo Barreto. Now its framed and hanging in my living room.
  17. Just framed a few more Vampirella prelims by Enrich. My Vampirells wall is coming along fine. Top one is by Bill Hughes, the rest are Enrich
  18. Mine is the Jean Grey and Scott Summers Wedding Print from 1994. It was drawn by Joe Mad and inked by Matt Ryan. Jim Warden who reps Joe remembers selling it but doesn't know to whom. That piece is at the top of my wantlist. If Anyone knows where this is please email me. Thanks. Be seeing you, Brian
