I just got my 9.8 CGC Venom #1 signed by Bagley and McFarlane and, sure enough, it has rings. Not as terrible as some pics here, but they are there. I care some. But since it seems to happen to a lot of collectors, I don't let it bother me much.

For myself, I collect Stan Lee SS comics for the sheer joy that they bring me. It's never about the money as I don't plan to sell any of them anytime soon. I also have a couple Stan Lee and Humberto Ramos signatures on one comic because I like both and respect both artists very much. I've loved Spider-Man for pretty much all my life and collect only him. I also have a Stan Lee autograph that is just a picture of him and that's it. Not a comic. That's my most prized possession.
I collect comics because of the artwork and because of the storytelling. Lee was a great person who made a lot of people happy, including myself. That's what it's all about for me. If my collection is worth $20,000 or $0.20, it makes it worth it knowing I have a piece of history.

My apologies for calling it a "variant." I assumed it was. I know I have seen this in blue with Stan on the front (which I also have...SS) and also an inking with no coloring.

It was this one. Only it's signed by Ramos, not Stan Lee.

Hello all,
I was hoping to get some help. I have a CGC graded Amazing Spider-Man #1 (Yellow Variant with mask off) autographed by Humberto Ramos. It's graded at a 9.4. I've tried to find a 9.4 to compare prices, but I can only find a 9.6. How much would a 9.4 CGC graded ASM #1 with signature go for? Ordinarily I wouldn't sell any of my CGC comics, but I would use the money to upgrade to a Lee/Ramos signed 9.8 graded copy of the same comic book.
Thank You in advance.

I have this one in a different version. It's the same exact signature in the same exact spot. Mine has the stamp on the back as well.
At first I thought it was a fake because his later signatures don't look anything like this, but it's real. Is yours graded? That helps to. I got mine at a 9.8.

I bought this for $350 on Ebay. I love the comic, but I am a bit upset that the autograph itself looks like mess. It's authentic, but it looks like a big blob of black. I'm not one to flip as I have loved Stan Lee and Spider-Man for over 35 years. I just wish it looked like his name.
Thoughts?
