  2. Kudos to IITravel for a nice TMNT #1 (3rd print) and a 2 and 3! Tight grading and super-fast shipping makes you highly recommended by Detroit Mike!
  3. With golden age books, I'd consider myself a type collector because I'd rather have a wider variety of books in my collection. With silver, the only run I've almost completed is Amazing Spider-Man.

  12. i remember showcases filled with multiple copies of batmans under #10. i don't know if they were showcasing for an upcoming auction, rotating the good stuff, or if that was just part of the regular display? my uncle asked what was a decent timely for about $20, and they brought out the young allies for me to look through. i bought the 17 and accidentally pulled the cover off of the single staple, the very next day. it was the best of times, it was the worst of times. a stack of superman #1s... i believe it.
  13. Thanks Bob. It was the thrill of a lifetime to see cases filled with gold for the first time. This thread captures some of those same feelings.
  14. Ahh, the first gold book I ever bought... way back in 80' What was the name of the comic dealer who operated out of an old bank in LA or Hollywood? Don't remember.
