I just shipped back the item to the seller and glad things went smoothly. He was truly a decent guy and I really did luck out. I read the whole comic in 15 minutes since I had it and shipped it exactly how you guys told me to pack it. I didn't know Donald Trump was a big deal back then in the early 90's to be talked about in comic books. LOL It sort of trippy seeing Donald Trump being mentioned in Amazing Spider-man #361. Aunt May had a thing for Donald Trump. In the early 90's what was Donald Trump doing was he famous then too? I was too young to know the news and current state of the country then. Today I just received my new shipment and this made my day even better! Everything is brand new in shrink wrap but I most probably will not open the DC Absolute I just found out this is Whale status and hard to find I just picked this up to read it but most likely will keep it in the wrap for the foreseeable future. Which book should I open up and read first any recommendations? I already read the Killing Joke by the way.

when is comes to already graded books I already know where the find the FMV value and reasonable price for slabs.

I got it I am only going to buy CGC slabbed items only from ebay now onwards. The extra fees and it getting there in one piece and on top of that how subjective cgc might grade the actual book can change everything. I am just going to buy only CGC from ebay. I am looking for a 9.8 CGC this comic is all. I got it!

All in all I got very fortunate this seller was a honest seller and actually refunded me. This could of ended very badly. I feel the comic i received was only worth max 33 or 40 bucks in its condition.

I wasn't saying that cage #1 was a mint copy or even close to that. I was only showing how I would post angles on ebay if I was the seller. I was also showing how I did not even take care of this comic and just to me from the pictures looks better than the Spider-Man issue 361 that I got in the mail. Even if mine as color breaks it doesn't have all bent up corners is all I was trying to get at. I know the Cage #1 comic is just a reader and probably a GGC 3.5 or 4 at best.

the seller agreed and after contacting ebay he had no choice but to refund the money back. It wasn't a properly listed item. If he had only said "bid with caution or I am not a grader or this just my best guess at the condition of book" I would of not wont the case

I know you guys are all saying I am uneducated but I think anybody on this thread received this utter 5.0 or less grade would have a gripe as well based on how the seller presented this. I am the poor sap that won the auction. There was around 36 bids on this alone so someone else would of been screwed over. I won this bid by 1 dollar at the last second. This seller on ebay doesn't know who he messed with and yes I got ebay involved Ill let you know what happens in 3 days. This seller shouldn't be selling comics on ebay if this how he describes and posts things so I am doing everyone a favor.

Yes i am about to email the seller back and see what he has to say or just get ebay involved. If nothing comes then so be it. Your right the pictures do not look like what I got and the angles taken in the auction the seller posted where done with bad intent.

then I will post it for .99 cents I already read this several times and enjoyed the comic just giving up for someone else. I am not selling comics to get "Big Bucks" that attempt by the masses was tried in the early 1990s and almost destroyed the comic industry. Thanks for your input

This image alone sums up my anger to this seller. I would never in my life sold something saying its mint or even Fine without posting this angle. Anyway you guys enjoy and tell me what I should do. I might resell this on ebay and post the exact photos I posted here and be honest. I got this for 76 dollars so what grade do you guys think this is and what you think I can even get back. Should I at least email the seller and tell him I am unhappy but yes I will not return this item unless you guys think I should and ill just suck it up and lesson learned the hard way

PART 2 This Comic is pretty ok but Ill let you guys decide what grade you think this would get and the one corner is a complete mess. And back nearest to the spine has several dings which I have marked in red.

Here is the Amazing Spiderman Issue #361 That arrived by USPS Media Mail PART 1 his packaging is fine imo but I still had a laugh at the sharpie note.

Ok I might of been a little harsh in my responses saying I got scammed or I want to return this or that but I am a honest person. I run my own business in healthcare and I strive on integrity and honesty. I know the seller did not have good intentions with this sale the way the pictures were taken and what I got in the mail and what was being described. I am actually one of the best people to deal with when it comes to selling and buying items on ebay or amazon because I when I sell I explain every possible defect and give every possible angle to not make the consumer have no doubt in what they are about to receive or purchase from me. I guess not everyone who sells on ebay has this type of intention. I guess I had a lot of good positive sales and purchases on ebay that made me think the ebay and amazon community for the most part are honest people, But yes I should of done a little more research into what I was purchasing and not jump the gun and bid blindly based on descriptions. For example I I am about to list the Cage # 1 1992 on ebay and this is how I list photos for comics on ebay. I am not blaming the seller this is my fault and should of been more "educated" in my purchases. Here is the 12 images I use when post a comic on ebay Cage #1 1992 (THIS COMIC HAD NO BACKBOARD AND WAS KEEP IN A MYLAR BAG IN MY CLOSET IN A BOX FOR OVER 10 YEARS THAT WAS LOSELY PLACED IN THE BOX THAT GOT SHIFTED AND TOSS AND TURNED A LOT. THE QUALITY OF THIS COMIC COMPARED TO THE CARNAGE EBAY SELLER WHO SAID HIS IS "Mint" is mind boggling to me. I DID NOT TAKE ANY CARE OF THIS CAGE #1 COMIC AND IS WAY MORE SUPERIOR IN QUALITY THAN THE CARNAGE COMIC. THE BACK AREA CLOSE TO THE SPINE IS A LITTLE BEAT UP BUT OTHER THAN THAT FOR BEING SHOVED INTO A BOX I THINK THIS IS GREAT CONDITION. The Comic lies flat for the most part and this will be going up on ebay. This is how I post things on ebay and my stupidity for basing my purchase on 3 or 4 crappy images taken at bad angles

I got the package I will post what I got and how its shipped in an hour or 2 about to get off work. Surprised it came this quick when only estimated to arrive Friday. Dont know why I dont feel happy about this .

These are the images he put on ebay as well, guys I made a huge mistake and I am not a comic expert but I think I got scammed badly. Why is there wrinkles at the staples and its slightly popping out is that normal?

Yah I know your gonna get a good laugh from this from my expense but from what you see so far and all those things you just pointed out. What Grade would you give this if you had to be generous. I think I will just put this in a new board and mylar cover and relist it. Unlike that seller I will be honest about the dings and marks in the description. I will even use the exact photo with your markings as one of my uploaded photos if I decide to sell this after seeing what I get. I guess I trust people to much because I wouldn't screw anybody over like that I even sell stuff on ebay myself and always honest with people so I expect the same. I rarely ever deal with shady sellers but then again I never bought a comic over 70 bucks on ebay so this is a first.

The seller listing of MINT and also just noticed in his description for this Comic Book " AS GOOD AS IT GETS. AMAZING CONDITION" Why da hell did he said MINT and AMAZING CONDITION if you guys think it wont even pass 4.5 CGC grade. Can I open a case with ebay for him falsely advertising this in the description with the terms MINT and as good as it gets amazing condition. I know he has posted pictures but can I put a case for not getting what the seller described? I HAVEN'T GOT THE ITEM YET BUT YOU GUYS CONVINCING ME THIS BOOK IS IN BAD SHAPE.

How do know those are not just dust specs or the damn crappy plastic he put it in. Anyway I think I made a huge mistake buying this as other people have posted saying I need to learn a lot from this purchase (the do's and dont's). The item hasn't arrived yet but I will post pictures of it once I get it. I should of known better from that backboarding itself but people put 39 bids on this and went up to 73 74 dollars. Anyway Ill just keep this and lesson learned but still in high hopes its just the garbage backboard and plastic. Pressed by a TV repair man ? You honestly think this was pressed ? Then Ill return this damn book to him and get my money back he posted a false ad saying its mint if its not 9.0 or above its a lie and I can get a refund
