  1. Hi I'm new here. I live in Australia. I have a few high grade comics that I have always wanted to get graded by CGC but have never had the guts (or the cash) to send them overseas. I've done my research but I'm still not sure about the best way to send them and whether or not to get them pressed. Looking for any opinions or advice. Especially those not living in the USA who have sent their prized comics internationally. The things I'm wrestling with: - Insurance; while these comics are out of my house they are not insured and it's difficult to find someone who will insure collectibles traveling overseas - Postage: I can protect them for up to $5k on the way there but it seems CGC uses Fedex for the way back which is only covered for $150. Others I've spoken to say they've never had any issues but I need more reassurance. Can anyone vouch for the process of getting them back? - Pressing: to do it or not to? I think there's one comic that might benefit from pressing but I'm not sure it will add enough to the grade to make it worth it. It also seems CGC (CCS)'s fees are high compared to other places. I don't even think there are any people in Australia who would know how to press comics. Are there companies that press and submit them for you that people would recommend? Also, even if I go down this path I can see my concerns around postage compounded - I have to send them somewhere for someone else to send them for me! Any advice would be very much appreciated!
