  1. How do you know they haven't opened them, or even received them? I would call someone, because they ought to be at least Verified and probably SFG if not Graded by now.

I email them once a week. They are currently opening books of week October 27.......

"Opening books"? Do you mean grading books? Which tier are you talking about?

They opening the vault and taking a group of books out. then they to grading for a week, then to encapsulation for a week, then 2 weeks later they are shipped out...

thats what they tell me. heck who knows, CGC is more private than the CIA

Ehm ... you seem to be confusing the actual process.

When books are shipped to CGC, they show up as "Received". CGC then checks the books and they go to "Verified".

After that the books sit in the vault for a while - for how long depends on the tier - get pulled out for grading, then moved to the encapsulation room, and then back in the vault until they're ready to be QC'ed and shipped out. The time between stages depend on the tier and how back-logged CGC is at various stages - sometimes they switch from graded to shipped very fast, sometimes they don't.

If your subbed your books back in November under either the Economy or Value tier, they are at least sitting in "Verified" right now - perhaps even scheduled for grading - and will most likely get graded within the next week (based on what other people have posted so far).

Green Jacket Gold Jacket...Who gives a S-H-I-T on the process ....I dont have the books since Nov 3rd....

Im glad you can explain how sausage gets made...

With that lovely attitude, I'm sure CGC is working overtime just to get your books "opened"

Next time don't be a cheap-azz and pay for fast-track.

not because I wasnt being cheap, They didnt offer it so I didnt know.

i dropped about 2 grand on books this month so its not the money

Finally I will have my Batman 227 foreign set

Perhaps next time you will give a S-H-I-T about the process, then.

:cloud9::golfclap: My books are curently sitting in the QC part so I should have them soon after they are done & shipped out

  2. its a shame with that #2 that the logos directly cover the art work it self seems like that could be fixed with a bit of editing ...

Another piece of OA from ECCC - it was great meeting you, Frank!

  3. I was at eccc if I had seen this book advertised as an exclusive on the website I would have brought one ... as is I went in brought my TWD & other exclusives & went to shop else where don't recall seeing the book or not D'oh ...

So how do we get this one ?..

  4. So if I get a TWD #19 signed by Danai Gurira, Charlie Adlard , & Tony Moore is it worth be doing so IE will I be able to make any profit with all fees $30 for autogarph + $?10 for tony? + I duno if or what charlie charges ... & then cgc & shipping fees Books would be around the 9. range ... none of them a 9.8 sadly ... plan on getting one done at least just for my own collection

It seems that if you are ever looking to be able to later on resell this without losing a ton on it then don't cross actors/actress sigs with writers/artist sigs. Keep it one or the other.

Interesting ... hm how come ?.. Is it just because the actors fees are more or because of the show dies down the actor autograph can hurt value ?..

  6. Both companies are likely aiming to set up some sort of streaming service for their back catalog, so backwards compatibility or lack thereof probably won't make much of a difference.

lol, do you really think Sony is going to give this service away for free?

So I paid 60 bucks for FarCry 3 and they'll make me pay another 60 bucks to play it digital streaming on the PS4? Yeah, I'll be signing my wallet up to be raped real soon. lol

Yeah you are probably right. Why give away bc when u can provide it online now that the psn network is up, and why give it away free when ppl will pay. Nobody is going to pay 60 bucks for an older game but 10 might fly and 10 is 10 more than zero, plus the costs of digital dstn to sony will be way less than the costs of upgrading hardware so its a win win for them

I think next gen is going to be all about revenue streams, both with older games and newer. I'd expect a stream service to operate similarly to the way Netflix works. I'm also expecting pay-to-play multiplayer.

don't they already have this in games today stuff like wow ect heck with xbox you have to buy member ship for a year & they also give you month options as well to play online

  7. Strangely enough, I was just consigned by a friend who is now living in Australia to sell all his original toys...Transformers and a HUGE He-Man assortment. Just reading up on the value of these things and it looks like I've got a pile of cash sitting in my spare room ;)

hell yes you do that stuff can be worth $$$ depending on what it is & what shape / how complete they are ... another thing to find out if he has original transformers is if they are diecast or plastic cause ones with diecast metal parts will sell for more if you list them as such

  8. Bought a gigantic 80s He-man toy collection this weekend. Been working with a husband & wife for a couple months now.

Contains the three playsets, pretty much every ship & creature, and a significant number of the figures. Oh yeah, it included quite a few MASK items.

    Pat

What did you pay for the heman?.. sounds like its worth quite a lot if its as complete as you say :) If one of the play sets is eternia that one is worth cash $$$$

Today: Couple old first additions are always a thrill to find, I cant even find anything that compares to the "Game of India" imagewise, theres nothing out and this is complete and in stellar condition. I think Wiggly is complete and its in deccent shape from what I have seen. part2auct170.jpg

I got to start checking older games for dice :):headbang:
