Killer book Mike.
Thanks! It was my copy for about 20 years, and I slabbed it – and then found a 4.0 for myself. So it is time for this to find a new home.

1,999 claim, or make offer. (DM me)
Recent sales: CGC 1.5 for $2,761, and CGC 4.0 for $5,300.
All-time Classic cover! Best of the run, and a highlight of the Golden Age in general. (And I think this counts as Pre-Code Horror, right...except from 1941.)
Presents very well for grade, with big defect on back cover.
Price includes shipping/ins. US only. PayPal G&S. Prefer no returns. No trades.

Hi
I have merged the 2 threads, as only 1 is allowed per section. Also, please add a return policy to your terms of sale.
Thanks
I’ll be more careful in the future, and appreciate the guidance.

Hey, Mike - nice book! You're running afoul of Rule #13 however - "No spamming. Group your for sale items into one thread in each sub-forum. Attempts to take up front page real estate by creating multiple threads are not allowed."
Might want to move your Flash book here, or vice-versa.
Thanks for pointing that out! I don’t want to people off. I removed the paragraph about “other things for sale” – maybe that helps? The two books are so different, and would have such different audiences – it would be a bummer to have to put them together. I guess I could take this one down, put it up tomorrow or something. Is that better? I appreciate your input. As you can tell, I don’t post here too often! THANKS!!!

Good job Mike!
Thanks, Badger. Not too many more Timelys I need, which is odd to say. (PS - I still have the All Select #4 I got from you, but not sure if I mentioned I upgraded the #3 a little while back.)

When you can't afford a $15-20K copy, a purple label that still looks pretty nice will suffice. Thanks @jeranimal!

Let me add this caveat though, many Cap collectors point to Captain America #37 as one of the high points of Schomburg's Cap legacy. This cover was chosen as one of the three recreated by Alex for the Buccaneer Graphics lithographic set, the other two being the covers of Marvel Mystery #66 and All Winners #11.
Have no idea whether these three covers were personal favorites of Alex Schomburg or specifically commissioned as a choice of the publisher, but all three are awesome. I can personally attest to the beauty of the original gouache art as owner of the MM #66 recreation. Some lucky collector owns the originals to the Cap and AW cover. Anyway, Cap #37 is another top drawer Schomburg cover.
Cap #37 is one of the highlights of my collection. I got it a couple of years ago, and I still find it stunning, whenever I look at it. And I’m always seeing something new in it. (It’s only 4.0 because the cover is detached. It looks way higher. I love non-visible defects!)

I'd concur. There are several Schomburg Cap covers that live up to the "classic" designation; this is certainly in that pantheon. The depth and distance perspective on this one is especially well done.
There's just so much to love here! Cap being all dynamic, on a chain that goes through the logo and ends up who KNOWS where! The Nazi alien! Shards of glass flying everywhere! Bucky's look of abject horror! The Nazi dying mid-cover from...something... The other Nazi throwing the spear! (like...what the...?)
Big smiles all around.

That really is a great cover. Like Cat said very 3-D . Anyone who says Shomburg is over-rated is a darn fool.
People say that?
I guess to each their own.

Whats the most scarce Timely issue? Not in grade, just the book itself? ( Not including funny animal titles)... Books we once thought scarce might not be any longer.
Just wondering on opinions, I have mine down to two or three.
All Select #3 is a tough one. Namora #3 is, too. Took me a few years to find a copy (although some have surfaced over the last year or so). All Winners #8 is tough. (I tend to only collect Schomburg Nazi covers mostly those with Captain America on them, but some Marvel Mysterys, like #51 and 52 and others.)
I could use an All Select #1, speaking of great ones - probably not super rare, but a pricey one, for sure. (And #4, which would be an upgrade.)
