What's your progress on 2022 CGC signings?
Ctwn4life replied to woznia17's topic in The Signature Room
That’s a crazy turnaround, especially with the press. -

The signings are normally weeks if not months out. The cutoff on Wolfman was mid April. Fast forward 4 months and I’m still waiting on it to be shipped back. Just never know. -

Hi everyone! Thanks for taking the time to click on this and for offering your opinion. I’m sending my IM 55 in for the Jim Starlin event. Was just curious as to what grade the board is thinking on this. I will be adding on pressing for the book. The main issue is the color breaking crease line that I’ve tried to provide a closeup of in pic #6. Thanks again!

Really confused on how my card got a 6.5...
Ctwn4life replied to robertlele's topic in CGC Trading Cards General Discussion
If the surface grade was a 2 or 3, you’d only get bumped up by 1 whole point above that as long as the other sub grades were at least 1.5 points higher. With it being a 6.5, process of elimination has to be surface damage from the looks of it. The lowest centering can be is 8, the corners and edges look fine too. Sub grade on the surface is probably a 5.5 for whatever reason. -

Yea, I got it at a substantial discount after pointing the trimming out to the owner. I normally don't mess with trimmed books, but an early Superman from 1940 made the exception lol.

Found out in the wild at a small and rural comic shop. I did a double take as they had it in a glass display case. I was doing a comic crawl and definitely did not expect to see this. ***My hands were thoroughly washed before handling the book. This will also be the last time that I open this book up. I had to smell it!***

Thanks for the replies up to this point everyone. The ticks are why I’m on the fence about springing for a C&P. Guess it can’t hurt in hopes of a bump.

I’m getting ready to send in a new batch of books for my PC. Thoughts on this being a C&P candidate and grade?

Going with a 9 after a C&P

I’m wondering where the cap is myself because of the split.

Please grade this Love Diary #47!
Ctwn4life replied to Point Five's topic in Hey buddy, can you spare a grade?
4.5 is my gut reaction. Nice book! -
Hey everyone, I just sent my GSX1 to be cleaned/pressed and graded a few weeks back. I will post pics of the grade once I’ve got the book in hand. In the meantime, curious to see what everyone thinks the grade might be. Please see pics! I’m hoping for a bump after the cleaning and pressing!

I agree with your assessment that this would be in the lower VF range without the crease tears. Once slabbed though, this will present really nicely.
-
I would be really happy to pull that grade.

Sorry guys, was a busy day at work. I initially had 6 photos of this book to share with you all, looks like a few didn’t load for whatever reason. Here are some additional.
