  1. Congrats. I always love a running Snoopy. Beautiful early example.
  2. Hot off the heels of Clink and Heritage and ECCC going down the drain, I thought it might Nice to organize an evening of art and conversation. If you’re in the Boston area and interested in sharing/talking about comic art, PM me and I’ll get something together.
  3. I once wrote to a dealer, and everything is true, saying “I would like X piece. <insert gush here> Is there any chance you would accept $Y? I had a similar (cover from the same series/artist) piece that I recently offered to someone who inquired at $Y. It was rejected, but out of respect I’ll buy X piece from you at the same price, if that is acceptable.” We were able to work a deal.
  4. I just let go of a piece I did not anticipate selling for many, many years. I reached out to someone on CAF about one of their pieces, and they responded with a trade offer (+cash) that was so strong that I agreed. I like dealing with Premium members who update their galleries regularly as a sort of ‘safety net’ vis-à-vis ‘who ships first’ - I’ve never had a problem.
  5. I was very sad to lose the Ultimate Iron Man 2 cover due to poor bidding on my part.
  6. Delirium commission just in by David Mack. pre-Bologna. Joke background art for his Batman #50 variant cover.
  7. So definitely nothing you regret. That sounds pretty good.
  8. Can you share examples of pieces you’ve passed on that you might have ordinarily purchased were it not for this ‘one a month’ experiment?
  9. Jenny Frison has an interesting hybrid process to produce her pieces, aimed at making the process quicker. I like how you get both versions when you buy the original art. https://www.comicsbeat.com/matt-chats-jenny-frison-discusses-cover-art-process-and-focusing-on-emotion-and-character/
  10. Miracle of miracles. Install went mostly as planned. 95% finished. OCD appeased. The cushions were a gift from Mrs Dichotomy.
  11. It’s the basement so the windows above the cabinets that you can see, and then a large window on the wide that is always shut because it faces the tv. So overall excellent for displaying artwork.
  12. Difficult decisions will have to be made.... The new set up has much less space for artwork, so I’m going to put up some larger pieces and break everything else down into portfolios.
  13. If like to showcase art from turn point years - Start of Golden and Silver, major storylines like Star Wars. Also, I’d love a well curated strip art retrospective.
  14. Haha, that’s my Narnia door. Did consider trying to hide it altogether but then the heritage and clink offerings appeared and my budget took a hit.
  15. Not 100%, but here is a wide shot. The tall cabinets flanking the drawers are to store the portfolios. Lots of book shelf space.
  16. Progress! Custom drawers for comics and art viewing station. That’s a 17 x 22 itoya open.
  17. I have one of the White Metal Variants. (Limited to 10) - They were selling these and the regular metal variant at cons direct.
  18. Saw this on CAF - very striking. His Thors are always great!
  19. The Red Wing #3 pg. 22-23 fresh in from CLink - Nick Pitarra
