Hello comic fam! Happy new year! I need help grading my book… The front of the book presents pretty well.(some edge wear at edges along with several spine ticks) The smooth FC is free of serious creases and is dimple free. . The obvious issues is on back cover: presence of moisture damage, dirt and rust migration from staples. The paper quality is surprisingly good considering the rust situation. Any input is appreciated! Thanks in advance!

^^^I’ve seen slabbed books online with similar tanning graded an 8.0… interesting case….

Thanks for the feedback guys.. my buddy thought the book was in the 5.0-6.0 range. But I wasn’t any closer to what seems to be the consensus so far. I thought 7.5-8.0ish.. again thank you and keep the grades coming!

Hey guys, can you please grade my ASM 38. The book has smooth covers with no creasing. The corners are sharp. The book does have a few small spine ticks (mostly non colour breaking). The reason I bring it up is a buddy and me we’re way off each other’s grade range. Any feedback would be appreciated!

I would like to request a “Adventure Comics - Legion of Super-Heroes” set. It would consist of the following:
Adventure Comics 247, 267, 282, 290, 293, 300-380, 403.
Some might argue that Action Comics 267 and 276 as well as Superboy 86 and others should be included, but I am not suggesting a complete silver age Legion of Super-Heroes set, just the ones in Adventure Comics. Thank you!
Nevermind, I found it!

4.5 if the tear is on the cover only, less if it affcts the inside pages.
It will display well in a mylar.
Luckily it only affects the cover.
thanks for the feedback guys!

Thanks guys. I may just go with the average of all the grades given! 😂

Guys, your opinions would be greatly appreciated. 😉

Thanks for your input. I figured this would be a tough one and judging by the views and lack of posts, I guess I was right... 😂

Hey my friend, I requested that set a while ago but no traction has been made yet. Hopefully soon. I’m tired of these long waits for sets being created and the rules of it has to have 2 books graded for a set to be created
I feel you... based on the action these books are getting online, I’m sure it will be created soon enough... 🤞

Thanks for your input guys!
In closing, the seller was gracious and gave me the partial refund that I asked for!
All’s well that ends well!

In all fairness, the seller did mention that he’s not a professional grader.
He also asked me what I think we should do.
I asked for a partial refund. I’m waiting for his response.

I received this book today in the mail. The seller graded it a 9.0.
to my dismay, the bottom of the BC has a 2 1/2 inch crease that was not present in the pics or description. I’m guessing the damage occurred when the seller put the book back in its sleeve.
what grades do you guys give this book before and after the crease. Your input may help solve this issue.
thanks in advance!
