I'll guess 5.0 if no detachment given spine roll and general cover wear/soiling. I don't think the writing penalizes it but I'm not sure.
Lower grade if it is detached

Thanks for the input everyone...is it better to take it to a show to have it pressed or just put it in the mail... i have concerns sending through usps...? & what would cost be ..

If this book is a FN- I'll eat my hat. I have multiple books in 8.0-8.5 with small staple tears. As long as that isn't a tear on the top BC I'd put this at at least 7.0 after a press.
The back cover lower left corner looks a bit warped so some more pics of that might change my mind.
I got out the jewelers loop i see no tears... anywear ... bit of soft corners small rust area on staple..
