Found another one!

years ago, I along with 2 of my middle school buddies went to the LCS after school. The new FF by John Byrne was out that day and I was the first one to pick one off the rack. To my surprise it was a double cover and i told my 2 buddies about it. We found 2 more in the rack so all 3 of us bought a double cover FF that day. Sadly, that book is no longer in my possession.

 

I wonder if that was an isolated situation where multiple double covers were found in the same box. It would be neat to have multiple issues of the same book with double covers.

 

Anyone here lucky enough to have that?

 

I have multiple double covers of 2 ASM's. Not from the same store though.

My second Dave Stevens' cover Double Cover.

 

A bit disappointed today with this one, it's a NM copy, but the double cover is manufactered this way, the outer cover is a very glossy stock and the inner one is a regular stock with the same inside front and outside front cover.

That sucks. Hate the manufactured Double Covers...Legends Of The Dark Knight #1, Amazing Spider-Man 400 & 434, etc. Sorry to hear it!

The ASM I sent for a coin collecting friend. It came back 9.2

The x-men 296 I sent in to get to 10 books to get the discount. It came back 9.8

 

The other eight books are double covers. I have the grades for them at work (I called and found out). If you are so inclined, you can go back thru the last 25 pages or so of this thread and see the raw versions.

That X-Men 296 is a very desired book, as I'm sure you're aware! The 294-296 books are holes in many 9.8 run collector's sets!

Can't wait to see the scans of the double covers!

Here's my favorite recent Legion of Super-Heroes purchase.

 

Action Comics 267 with an absurdly DC PINK cover!

The real treat here is the Supergirl backup: third Legion appearance, first Kara as Superwoman! Fortunately I didn't have to crack a slab open to take a look at the story.

 

 

Respectable (for me) VG+ condition. I'd even say it's nicer than a reader copy.
