It's one of the great Batman covers.....let's just get that out there.....now I didn't know when you send in for autographs that they re-grade the book ......WOW.....I thought they would just get it signed and reslab.....No Idea that you could send a book in at one grade and possibly get a worse grade sent back to you.......It sounds like there is some risk involved with getting autographs.......and some reward if your lucky....

exactly, I happened to be on the lucky side but then again looking at it. I am legitimately scared to have decarlo sign it. I wouldnt want a 9.4 or 9.2 signed by all 3. I know 9.8 is close to impossible but I would settle for the 9.6 then I would be the most happy !

I would be scared to death of getting that 9.4 back.......but to have all three on this book and have it as a 9.6 is a Home Run. This is an example I believe that grading has been some-what eased as of lately.....It can get damaged during the encapsulation process....this is a glorified conundrum.....I think it would come back these days as a 9.6 ...but like you said there are some small issues with the book.

I was stoked when I got it back from Starlins at a 9.6

  3. As per the title I have a TMNT 3 Universal Label with ""Eastman"" & ""Laird"" written on interior cover in pen that I submitted (uncracked) for the Eastman witnessed signing. I have done some research and some are saying that if it was a neat signature it will come back just signature series WITHOUT the qualified label. I have also read that it will definitely come back with qualified signature series label. The issue I am finding is that all those posts were from 2014 - 2015. Nothing more recent on the subject. The Cert Number is: 1263901001 I have also read that it will effect the grade if I want it to come back a signature series non qualified label which I am okay with. I can see the indents on the pen from the front cover. Hopefully a press and clean may bump up the grade 1 or 2 points. The book got originally graded in 2014. Has there been a policy change recently? I definitely do not want the qualified label at all. I would rather not have it signed then honestly. Any help is GREATLY appreciated. Thank you!

  4. Alrighty friends. I have a 8.0 Batman 251 (Neal Adams Cover) WITH pen on the cover. Thankfully its on the white part of the cover! I purchased the grader notes and it is definitely a grade bump candidate with just a press/clean. I would like to know if it is possible to completely remove the pen writing? It looks to be from a ball point pen. I attached pictures of the actual book and notes. Let me know your thoughts. Would really like a big bump in grade! My goal is to get this signed by Neal Adams one day. Lets say it is impossible to remove the ink completely, what would happen if I asked him to sign it exactly where the pen marking was? Let me know your thoughts!! Thanks!!

  5. I have a really nice copy of Shazam #1

Obviously would love to get a 9.8 but do not think its possible with the bottom right corner has a tiny tiny piece missing. Not sure if it is a manufacturer error. No spine ticks. There some dirt / scuffs on the edge of the spine. Appreciate the honest replies!!

    Thanks!!
