  1. Well, that's it for now. If anything, some of these covers are always a joy to look at! But really. Buy something. Now.
  2. [NO LONGER AVAILABLE] Zap Comix #1 (3rd Printing) (Apex Novelties, 1968). CGC 9.6 (O/W). “From the collection of Kevin Michael McFadden.” Appears to be highest grade known per GoCollect, but GPA says there is one non-pedigree 9.8 out there. Either way, rather unusual specimen for this issue. $150
  3. X-Men #126 (Marvel, 1979) (Proteus and Mastermind appearances). CGC 9.4 (W). $85
  4. X-Men #118 (Marvel, 1979) (1st Mariko Yashida). CGC 9.2 (W). $75.
  5. X-Men #95 (Marvel, 1975) ("Death" of Thunderbird). CGC 7.5 (O/W). $100
  6. TV Casper & Company #1 (Harvey, 1963) (file copy). CGC 9.4 (OW/W). Only 4 graded higher. $250
  7. Tales of Suspense #62 (Marvel, 1965) (Origin of the Mandarin). CGC 8.0 (OW/W). Pedigree: “From the collection of Kevin Michael McFadden.” I happen to be the most recent 8.0 sale reflected in GPA in April 2019 as of this writing, and I believe it was a bargain auction result then. Perhaps you agree. $125.
  8. Tales of Suspense #43 (Marvel, 1963) (1st Kala: Queen of the Netherworld). CGC 6.0 (OW/W). Pedigree: “From the collection of Kevin Michael McFadden.” $375.
  9. [NO LONGER AVAILABLE] Plastic Man #23 (Quality, 1950). CGC 8.0 (C/OW). As with PM#19, only 6 slabbed in total. Only 2 graded higher in the census (both 8.5). $400.
  10. [NO LONGER AVAILABLE] Plastic Man #19 (Quality, 1949). CGC 8.0 (C/OW). Only 6 slabs on the CGC census (!) and only 4 graded higher. I happen to be the sole 8.0 sale reflected in GPA as of this writing, and I believe it was a bargain auction result then. $265
  11. [SOLD] Mister Miracle #6 (DC, 1972) (1st Funky Flashman), from collection of Kevin Michael McFadden. CGC 9.4 (OW/W). $125
  12. Mister Miracle #5 (DC, 1971) (1st Virman Vundabar), from collection of Kevin Michael McFadden. CGC 9.0 (W). $100.
  13. Journey into Mystery #119 (Marvel, 1965) (1st Warriors Three). CGC 7.5 (C/OW). $85
  14. The Eternals #1 (Marvel, 1976). CGC 9.6 (Qualified). White pages. The grade comment on the front of the slab is only "Cover & 2 wraps detached at bottom staple." That's it. $275
  15. Hello. At this time, I am offering the following CGC-graded items from Golden Age, Silver Age, and Bronze Age, including Plastic Man #19 & #23, Hulk #2, Justice League of America #1, TOS #43 & #62, Eternals #1, TV Casper & Company #1, Journey into Mystery #119, Mr. Miracle #5 & #6, X-Men # 95, 118, 126, and Zap Comix #1. What more could you want in an inaugural sales thread! Now hopefully I did this right and everything looks ok (if not, please let me know and I will add the info or revise as appropriate). New to selling here, so some background and boilerplate in order. I am on ebay since 2002 (“pantodud,” so w/o the “e”!) with 100% positive feedback as buyer and seller of many high-priced items, including gold coins and banknotes, and a few comic books. See below from 7/21/19. This forum is where I hope to focus my comic-related offerings going forward. The “Takings clause” Yes, just like in our U.S. Constitution, this “takings clause” is all powerful. An interested member must use to “take” an item, and a will take precedence over any pending PM or other negotiations (based on the timestamp) to avoid any confusion. Please, no buyers on the Hall of Shame or Probation List, or that I have on ignore and cannot receive PMs from (none yet, but just sayin’). Payment Methods Money Order/Cashier Check, and Personal Check (Business Hold will apply) preferred. PayPal is fine if need be, but only on orders under $1000. Shipping/Handling I ship to addresses in the continental U.S. only. All shipment is via USPS priority with signature confirmation for $20 (1-3 slabs per box). Return Policy No returns on graded books for the obvious, sensible reasons. Now for the goods in alphabetical order:
  16. I am blind. I see now that HOS and probation lists are distinct. THANKS - joe
  17. Where can i find the Hall of Shame? It is referenced everywhere yet not obvious where it is. Is there a dedicated tab that I am just missing? A search for "Hall of Shame" finds nothing but mostly sales threads mentioning the HOS. Thanks in advance.
  18. Hi. I forgot to ask for an invoice for the 9 books listed above. Thanks. - joe

  20. Just wanted to clarify by press no less, I mean submitted with evaluation for press candidacy only, because it was cheap, but just slab for now. Someone asked my I was pressing for, and realized my response above might have thrown him off. Anyway, I heeded Comicdonna's impression that a press would not make a difference. As I noted, in person, the books looks great (I saw no stains worth cleaning), including being perfectly flat on both sides when held up from the spine with rest of book dangling down. I read somewhere that was a test for history of pressing, so apparently this book was never pressed. Also, I read square spine books naturally come with dimples along the spine, and perhaps that is why Comicdonna remarked that a press would not make a difference. Also wanted to keep submission cost lower in case comes back lower range and look at grader notes. You guys have been great (except for the wide range in your estimates! -- only kidding, Awesome feedback, and I appreciate it)- joe
  21. re ASM#5 (CGC 8.5) as per our private discussion.
