  1. My book finally went into Finalized / Imaged / Shipped. Overall process took just over 5 months, it was received on 12/4/20.

I'm a little bummed about the grade though. It was a Last Ronin 1 Eastman Convention and only got a 9.6. I thoroughly inspected the book before sending, must have gotten a ding somewhere during transit or during the signing. Was pretty confident that it would get a 9.8. Oh well...

  2. I ended up emailing customer service last Monday and got a response on Saturday. They are super behind with magazine grading but my book is signed and graded and is in the encapsulation room. They are hoping this past weekend they will get through a huge part of the backlog. My book is still SFG though, going on 7 weeks. Not sure why they didn't change the status if it's graded.

huh, I wouldn't have read that as applying to the in-house signings unless you pointed it out to me. I still wouldn't think they meant for it to apply since processing the orders like that is an unnecessary organizational step when cgc is obviously struggling to keep up.

Also, if you click status explanation on the submission tracking page it says "Submissions are then arranged by service and received date so that they can be graded on a "first in-first out" basis by service type."

  4. Update on mine.

1 book no press received 12/4 and went into SFG 3/16. It's been 4 weeks since it went into SFG and no movement.

I've seen a lot of people post on social media and non of them had their books received before my 12/4. So much for first in first out...

  5. I'm pretty sure this is a glitch. I've entered the same book on the submission form multiple times with signature and it shows up as either $70 (correct cost) or $50. It's supposed to be $70 plus $5 for the specific label. No other cost besides shipping.

  6. I sent an email yesterday inquiring about my books delivered by USPS on June 21 that had not been received by CGC yet. To my surprise they responded to the email within 2 minutes and showed up in my account today as scheduled for grading. That's 11 business days and 19 days total for CGC to log them in. They must be swamped, but a great customer service experience.

Standard scheduled for grading on 6/7 and nothing since, upon time of receiving these books turnaround was 15. Today is day 20 not to mention the almost 2 weeks it took to log them in.

I'm at 17 days now since USPS tracking said delivered and it has yet to be logged in by CGC as received. Hopefully they will get logged in this week.

It seems their house is not in order right now.  I also have another submission that shows as received and signed by USPS tracking 8 days ago, and it has yet to be entered as received.  Never seen a lag of more than 3 or 4 days on that either.

Try to give them the benefit of the doubt and have been using them for years without ever having contacted them to ask what the hold up is before this one.

I have a submission currently sitting at 12 days since USPS tracking said delivered and yet to be entered as received. Hopefully just a couple more days.
