  1. This wasn't a free gift, but I had never seen one before so bought it. The 1972 ad must have been for a different shirt than the one advertised.
  2. Hi Gary, it's Tellshiar. I hope you are doing well, and you have some great stuff!
  3. Here is the POW Spider-Man Iron-On that the original owner transferred to a handkerchief. Thank gosh it is unused and believe it was used more as a pocket square for a suit rather than a snot rag (LOL).
  4. I just got this poster from 1972. I am not sure how rare it is compared to other free gifts, but I know one had to destroy (clipping stamps from pages) 10 comics to get it.
  5. Hi all, I just got this poster and am wondering if it was advertised in Pizzazz magazine for sale, was specifically printed for comic stores to advertise the magazine or was an exclusive promo. If anyone knows I would appreciate any info. Thanks!
  6. Here is another article from issue #6. Stan was definitely one-of-a-kind, and if he never lived or chose a different profession comic books might never have continued or broken out of their childish stereotype that the public perceived them as.
  7. To illustrate how Stan Lee changed Marvel (and comics) I have this fanzine article from 1963, just weeks after Spider-Man #1 was released. I actually found the author, Paul Feola, and he gave me some great insights from an objective observer (and fan). It is one of my favorite articles and can be found in The Comic World News #6.
  8. Hello all, I just purchased this child's Spider-Man coat hangar from a collector in Belgium. He said he got it from a collection he bought of 1960's and 1970's Marvel Comic books and promotional items. I know it is not from the 60's and looks like mid-1970's. The only other Spider-Man hangars that I know of were merchandised in 1980 but were not as nice as this one. It is made of hard plastic and a little over 12 inches in length. I am not sure if it was a store display or merchandised in a package for consumers. I researched the licensee but looks to be a defunct company. Any information would be helpful. Thanks!
  9. Hi, these are great and I have all three. These are very hard to find, especially in this great of condition.
  10. Excellent information and appreciate the feedback I was able to contact Mr. Everett's daughter who commented on all the pics I showed her. She was happy to see them.
  11. Well, so what would be the rarest of these drawings, the Daredevil or the Human Torch? Maybe he had it in his portfolio because he secretly wanted to draw him in the comics (LOL). I actually like Burgos's version better. My dad has a Schomberg drawing of the Torch and Toro burning through a Nazi Flag, from the late 1950's, but I didn't like his version of Toro.
  12. Okay, sorry about the mistake and thanks for the info. Well, I guess this Human Torch drawing is really a one-of-a-kind then (LOL).
  13. I am no expert but when I looked at the stories in my dad's comics they were his, but I will have to look elsewhere as his Golden Age comics are graded and encapsulated now.
  14. Yes, everything in that book is a reproduction and actually has it printed as a Reproduction on the back sides.
  15. There is an omnibus on the Human Torch. he didn't do full stories on the Torch but when he appeared with the Sub-Mariner. They can be found in that omnibus. https://www.ebay.com/itm/TIMELYS-GREATEST-GOLDEN-AGE-HUMAN-TORCH-BY-CARL-BURGOS-By-Bill-Everett-Mint/184524904232?epid=12038764092&hash=item2af68a9728:g:-YkAAOSwGMtfpjNl
  16. Here is a cool issue and pic. There is also an Omnibus on the Human Torch with art by Everett and Burgos. https://www.ebay.com/itm/TIMELYS-GREATEST-GOLDEN-AGE-HUMAN-TORCH-BY-CARL-BURGOS-By-Bill-Everett-Mint/184524904232?epid=12038764092&hash=item2af68a9728:g:-YkAAOSwGMtfpjNl
  17. Here is also an authentic Bill Everett Sub-Mariner (1965) I just picked up. The ones in the book are from the 40's.
  18. Hi, no that is just the 1964-1967 M.M.M.S. club Welcome Letter. Authentic ones are 99% on bond paper, while only a handful were Xeroxed (To save money?) in 1967 when the club ended.
