    It's very unlikely the printer just ran a few hardcovers at that size. They probably ran them all. So there is no "rare" version of that book. Like when issue 4 of a book says "issue 3". If they fixed it, that's one thing. If they didn't, then they're all worth the same.

    Yikes. I sent one in after about 4 weeks, despite the 2 week warning. I just sent it with a note. Sharpie'd the slab where all the issues were. They fixed it and sent it back. Didn't charge me a thing. Still had issues, but less of them.

    Has anyone mentioned The Promise Collection ? Heard they were very, very overgraded. Sorry...overrated.

    It's not a manufacturing flaw, it's damage. Like this 9.8 White Fox "manufacturing flaw" with a hole through the book. And this 9.8 High Republic "manufacturing flaw" with no cover. And this 9.8 MS 32 with tons of "manufacturing flaw" damage. And the 9.8 "manufacturing flaws" on whatever this is.. This is the grading you trust completely. Many of us don't (based on reality). CGC loves people like you.

    The GSX color rub and indent damage at the staple take it way out of 9.9 for me. It seems this gifted grade and auction publicity came with much needed good press for CGC. As long as you don't look too closely. Probably a behind-the-scenes story to this that we won't know. That aside, it was a case of CGC wanting this book to be a 9.9 and put in the right auction hands, than the book actually being 9.9

    So like the guy said, since this GSXM is the best copy, it gets a 9.9...everything lesser gets graded accordingly. That's the question, and you say yes ? No.
