  1. Hi All. The result is in, Graded - 2.0, which I am totally happy with, kept this for over 40years.
  2. Hi Guys To all that offered a grade, thank you.... the result is in .... it's official...CGC Grade 0.5. Now I have to try & find my AF15 tread to tell you guys about that one. (can any one advise how I can find my old treads, if that's what you call them). Cheers Guys
  3. Hi All. Cleaning & Pressing has been recommended by a number of the guys on this tread, is cleaning included in CGC's "Pressing service" ?
  4. Hi All, I guess this has been asked before, so sorry to ask. I am preparing my first submission and can see "Pressing" as an option - does this include cleaning or is this service not offered vis CGC? Thanks.
  5. Hi Guys, I like this one, I can handle it without worrying. Needs a clean. Your opinions please.
  6. Hi Guys, This Spidey is one of my better ones of my early ones. Your opinions please.
  7. Hi Guys Another poor quality SM. with a tear. Your expert opinion is appreiciated. You will see a pencilled £5.00, I guess that's what it cost in the late 70's. Thanks
  8. I do appreciate the comment. I certainly enjoyed my time searching out the Spidey gems in the 70/80's, I am going to get some graded so I wanted an idea on grades so I can complete the submission sheet values correctly ( No CGC back then). I loved waiting for the postman to deliver my comic's. No email - I would send off a stamped/addressed envelope to a dealer, the dealer would then send his comic list, I would pick any I wanted then send a cheque for the one's I wanted and wait for postie to deliver. Only then would I know if it was a cheque returned because my selection(s) had sold before my order, or the prize comic had arrived for my collection. Back in the early 2000's I was considering a Florida holiday so I could take some comic's in on the "Walk Through" that was actually that.
  9. Yes, that I know........................PGM comic
  10. Thanks for the grade. Yep - read the rules - only 3 request on any day that ends with a "Y"........ Thanks
  11. Thanks for your comments. I wish AF15, SM1, FF1 were near as good - but they are much poorer. I collected as a passtime - I enjoyed collecting & reading the comic's. In the 70's & 80's I didn't consider what I would do with them in the future - let alone 40/50 years later. It wasn't easy collecting then - I would send off a stamped addressed envelope to a dealer, the dealer would send back his list - I would then send a cheque for the ones I wanted. Sometimes the cheque would be returned as my selections had already been taken. Thoses were the days - no computers, no CGC.
  12. Please can you grade my Spidey No1. Do you think a press would be worth it - it's not a great quality? Thanks
  13. Hi All. I would welcome your thoughts on my low quality FF1, torn rear cover. As well as a grade - please can you let me know if you feel pressing would be recommended for such a poor copy. Cheers All.
  14. Hi All. I would welcome your thoughts on my low quality AF15 GB edition. As well as a grade - please can you let me know if you feel pressing would be recommended for such a poor copy. Cheers All.
