  1. If the books had defects that could be fixed by pressing, then it was a good idea. If the books had defects that pressing would not fix, then it wasn't such a good idea.
  2. Were you planning to slab these to sell? Unless I'm missing something - and I might be! - unless you've got a slam-dunk 9.8 it DD #227 doesn't seem worth slabbing.
  3. Been super busy with work. Need to make more scans, too. How far are we going to?
  4. Being sold by "mabear." Couldn't possibly be connected with "Matthew Beardsley." And it's been said already but it really stuck out for me: Anybody who takes photos like that while driving has to be a complete tool, regardless of what's being sold.
  5. A few months ago Frisco Larson nabbed a nice mid-grade copy on Clink I snoozed on, so I was happy to pick this one up this week, completing my Strange Worlds run.
  6. Was in my watch list, it sold yesterday on ebay: https://www.ebay.com/itm/256243806966
  7. I don't think I have it in me to write such a considerate note, which I guess explains why you're a gentleman, Jon and I'm a D i c k. Pontoon, that is.
  8. Congrats! Nice book. I think you got it for a decent price.
  9. Maybe in his head he transposed "well-padded box rather than an envelope" into "padded rigid envelope" and thought he was doing what was expected! I suppose just for the sake of argument those padded, plastic jiffy mailers are *slightly* more rigid than a plan manila envelope. Maybe.
  10. Very happy to have picked this up. Leaves me with about a half dozen Ant-Man books to finish my TTAs.
  11. It's a kids book series. It's good and even moms and dads can find it entertaining but I never thought of it as being part of the comic book market, though it is indeed a drawn story told in sequential panels.
  12. I've got a direct #245, too, but can't find the scan and I'm already behind.
  13. Spider-Man poster, 1978, large tear bottom edge, corner tears, big pinholes, 22 x 28, $8.
  14. Okay, just a few more items and then I'll shut this down later and get invoice out. Hulk Poster, 1977 by Thought Factory, foxing, tears, big pinholes, 23 x 35, $7. LMK if you'd like closeups of the corners.
  15. You've linked to a product of BCW (Baseball Card World) not Bill Cole Enterprises, two completely different companies and entities. Bill Cole opened one of the first comic shops in my area (metro Boston) back in the '70s, The Comic Kingdom. BCW is based out of Indiana. Here's the "about" pages from their respective websites. https://www.bcemylar.com/about.cfm https://www.bcwsupplies.com/about-us
