Great books but PLEASE don't blot out or not post the PM'ed final prices.

There is nothing worse than being away from the PC and coming late to a great auction and there are not even final sale prices :frustrated:

VCC sales and this type of data should be available for future reference. 2c

I'll be looking to buy from you based on your previous sales data but not if it doesn't exist.

I think Subliminal brings up an EXCELLENT point here. Many times I'll be looking at books here, and eventually, they'll end up selling but the final price is deleted. Sometimes this is just good info to know in the event I'm looking to move into the market for a book in similar grade.

What do the rest of you think--is this info that should be made more public than it often is, or do you think there is a certain level of discretion that sellers should use in disclosing this info?

When a book is sold through PM it's nobodys business. If asked about the selling price, I consult the buyer before sharing that information. When someone posts :takeit: I think the price should remain in the thread for all to see. Removing the price when :takeit: was used is not fair to others who might not know what the BIN was.

    Just my 2c

  2. I like the simplicity. It gets the message across easily while holding back mystery of where they are and any other conditions of the fight (like is Aunt May sick, are the cops on there way, in an enclosed space...) which make an ASM interesting.

I'ts called "Ditko sucks syndrome". Every once in a while a Ditko Spider-fan wakes from their trance, suddenly, to their horror, they can see Ditko for the artist he is.

    :o

Ouch! How do you really feel? :D

The OP's question gave me the greenlight, I've been waiting a long time to get that one off.

I was being critical of this cover as a rare exception...and it is interesting to me that it's also a rare Ditko-Kirby collaboration...but I am a HUGE Ditko fan...he's always been in my Top 2 along with Kirby...some days I have a hard time establishing who's my No. 1 of the two... :headbang:

Having said that...we don't allow Ditko bashers here on our ASCT! :o:makepoint:

    Tom,

I have a confession, I posted that comment to bait Spider-man fans. While no fan, I recognize Amazing Spider-Man as Marvels flagship title and I also have great respect for Steve Ditko. I will not resort to this type of post(baiting) again as it did not work anyway.

  3. Better scan when book is in hand ! 3d3c_1.jpg

Nice one! Gotta love the Commissar!

I love the Avengers issues from #16 through to the early 30s. Hawkeye, Scarlet Witch, Quicksilver and Cap were a great lineup. (My all-time favourite era, though, is the Thomas/Buscema run from #41 through #62. That was golden!)

The teens and 20s issues are the biggest gaps in my collection. It's getting mighty costly to try and fill in the gaps in grade.

True, I'm having to settle for 9.0s for books in the teens.

A 9.0 is a very nice book and a lot better value than a lot of the higher grades IMHO. That's a cool # 18. :headbang:

    Thank you, sir.

    CAL (shrug)

CAL, you disappoint me. For such an independent thinker today you fall short, and conform like a sheep.

    CAL, who follows the crowd.
