  1. Anyone know what a raw 9.0 range WD #1 is selling for these days? Thinking of buying not selling.
  2. Sweet! That 15 is really nice. My favorite cover of the run.
  3. There had to be some type of shill bidding going on with this sale. No way more then one person would pay that much for that book.
  4. The entire first story arc was great! Good to hear, guess i'll have to pick up the rest.
  5. How has the story been holding up? I've only read issues 1 and 2.
  6. It’s totally irresponsible for someone to be spending that much cash on a piece of sheit like that. And the buyer likely didn't make the money themselves, but is spending someone else's money. If the book actually ever gets paid for.
  7. Anyone playing Zombieville USA? It's a game for the iPhone. It's pretty awesome.
  8. I don't know why everyone is getting their panties in a bunch over the so called "thread crapping". 1. It's been going on forever on these boards, or at least since 2006. (don't make me search for examples) 2. The old adage, "any press is good press" (no pun intended) holds true here as it does anywhere. 3. No matter what is said in a sales thread, if you have the books, they will sell. 4. No matter what is said in a sales thread, if you have a quality reputation on these boards, your books will sell. Advice, don't make an open message board part of your business model if your worried that now and again you are going to get some comments/personalities/opinions you don't like.
  9. They might all be pressed - might not. I suppose only the seller and a potential customer that wants to ask will know. You are neither of those, and your post in the sales thread was not a legitimate question. It was an azz backward or chikin way of posting what you finally posted above. You wanted to tell everyone that they are all pressed and being sold without disclosure. Neither of which you have any proof of. Assume that , maybe, they all have been pressed. Even at that point, they are only being listed without pro-active disclosure. That doesn't mean proactive disclosure isn't taking place before any sales are finalized. It definitely does't mean that disclosure doesn't take place if a buyer pro-actively shows concern. (takes responsibility for themselves and asks). It was intended to be thread crappping, and uncalled for. Even monstro's pissant attempt at being the grammar police was nothing more then thread crappping. He doesn't like pressing so he thought he found a reason to belittle someone he doesn't like because they don't share his view on pressing. If you feel like you really need to be the board watchdog over pressing, then take it to PM, and stay out of the threads. Absolutely not true. I'm beginning to think sellers of pressed books are paranoid.
  10. I just saw this.....are you kidding me??? Yea it was an honest question and this guy had to respond like that to me? I thought he was joking around and that's why I posted it again. Someone needs to get some thicker skin..... And if you ask my friend universal I have no clue about pressing, I PM'd him over pressing a few weeks ago. Sorry guys but I'm not a huge comic geek like some on here, I dont know how to grade/press/etc. Hilarious. Oh and the reason I asked was because the seller kept posting (PRESSED) and I had wondered if CGC would display (PRESSED) on the label. I havent gone in his for sale thread since then and really dont remember which thread it was. Oh one more thing, if you have a problem with something I said just PM me and we can work things out. Clear? I guess all the people giving you craap in this thread are going to ignore your post.
  11. I don't know who PEP is and I don't know if he has a history of speaking out against pressing. But the question "How would you know if it was pressed?" doesn't seem so threatening to me. The response on the other hand, "Because I don't know who you are, I'm going to ignore your question even if you are about to buy every book I have ever wished to sell in my entire life." After reading this thread first I was expecting PEP's comment to be much worse.
  12. Anyone know what raw copies are selling for at cons? Are they available at cons? Do you think there will be any in Baltimore this year?
  13. I wonder if Layman and Guillory think this book is doing so well because of the art and story or if it's because of the huge buzz. In fact I wonder if the book is doing so well because of the art and story or if it's because of the huge buzz.
